Mob DESTROY a police vehicle in Harehills, Leeds after starting a riot after child welfare officers visited the home of a local resident and removed the children into protective custody over concerns for their welfare.

The welfare officers cannot win. In another part of the UK some time ago a young girl was murdered by her dad, step-mum and uncle, I believe. These heinous individuals then absconded back to Pakistan to family and relatives with their other childre all born here.

I used to knock about with a group from Harehills in the 70s, white and second generation Afro Caribbean.
It was a tough place then, but the Police were always happy to go in if required. Different feel to the area now.
