Sorry - i'll clarify. He has absolute immunity for core pres acts - obv he always has done as no pres has ever been prosecuted for any such act in history but there you go. This ends the gop investigation into Biden as no notes or conversation between the p and anybody else who works for him can now be used as evidence as it count as official. Even if a crime has def been committed.
Biden is officially now free from any crime allegation by congress - as will any other p be that argues his acts are official. Great day for deocracy...........

Great news for Trump and all the bogus lawfare against him. That and the Chevron Deference.

doubtful the don's actions in challenging the election will be seen as official acts

Entirely within his duties. There were multiple state governors who complained their voters had been disenfranchised by all the shenanigans and illegal ballot harvesting that went on. As the commander in chief, it would have been negligent of him to ignore them.

presumably if biden loses he can just tear up the results and it won't be illegal. well done the scotus

I doubt if he could tear a hole in a rice pudding.

There's always been presidential immunity for anything connected to official work and rightly so. A president would never get anything done otherwise for fear of being prosecuted. You have to leave your brains at the door when you enter the cult of leftism.

huge irony that bannon goes to jail the day his plans start to come to fruition

the hearing into what constituted an official act will take place just before the autumn election. all the evidence will be laid bare in public
Report Ronaldmcdonald July 2, 2024 9:25 AM BST
The irony of corruptly using the DOJ to jail political opponents.

So what was the point ion this case then? You are right as no P has ever even been close to ever being prosecuted for any act as a P - not even close to happening EVER. Other than this case please name a instance where it nearly happened or even talked about as a possibility.
Of course now Trump can't do any of his retribution stuff against Biden as everything he has said he'll do him for is most def under his duties as a P - same as Jordan's silly 'investigation' - over. Anybody else who did any work for the P can also now not be prosecuted as it was official acts of the p and any evidence that might show what those acts were can now no longer be used.
Basically everyone can now do what they want as long as its official P business and not get prosecuted for it or even use evidence if P involved. If you think that is good grounds for a country like the US to be run (just to keep 1 man from jail) then good luck to you!

the point of the case and the ruling was to help the don. no other reason
Report spyker July 2, 2024 10:03 AM BST
So if Biden and his team have done as described and plotted to get opponents that USED TO BE vey much illegal and able to be prosecuted with mountains of evidence of correspondence between Biden saying so. How do you fell that that now can never happen?
Report Ronaldmcdonald July 2, 2024 10:08 AM BST
There was a very serious possibility of Nixon being prosecuted and Biden for his classified documents. This ruling is not changing anything it is just confirming common sense that non TDS victims already knew. That does not mean presidents are unaccountable, they can still be impeached and prosecuted for crimes. All this ruling is doing is confirming that it is difficult to prosecute a president as it should be. If you are going to prosecute a president it needs to be for proper serious reasons, otherwise you would have every rogue prosecutor prosecuting the other side for trivial reasons and presidents would not be able to do their job for fear of being prosecuted later.
Report A_T July 2, 2024 10:46 AM BST
the reasons for the prosecution of the don will be laid out in court in september/october - we may even see mike pence testify under oath
Report Ronaldmcdonald July 2, 2024 11:41 AM BST
So what if Pence testifies? Only TDS victims take this lawfare crap seriously.
Report A_T July 2, 2024 12:04 PM BST
so why do you keep going on about it?
