If people were so 'upset' Casemoney they would protest vote against the Coalition(FF/FG) and SF would be the beneficiary,the opposite and people are quite happy with the government.

they are on course to do better than in 2019 local elections, were they done particularly poorly, but following year bolted up in General election.
These local elections are quite parochial, wouldn't read much into it if having a punt on the big one in future. People tend to vote for big Declan who lives round corner and we skull a few pints with.

don't know how Donegal results went but in Donegal News thursday Sinn Fein had no adverts in advertising candidates, Fine Gael 4 massive adverts, Fianna Fail one massive advert, few independents with big adverts, articles about Micah Redress. Found it strange, maybe saving the euros for the bigger prize.

A united Ireland full of economic migrants would be rather funny.

What amazes me is how anyone can look at any of the parties as being successful.

Not even half the electorate could be bothered to vote.

They purposefully call elections on weekdays so young people will find it harder to vote. Also working class have to find alternative child minding due to schools being taken over for voting. They call this democracy.

Not a single candidate knocked on my door. They throw leaflets in the letterbox but too lazy to knock on the door.

SF Mistakes:

1. Focusing too much on Israel/Gaza. Yes their voters care about it but they have bigger problems at home like house prices, cost of living etc..

2. Calling your own voters racist cos they don't want illegal immigrants/asylum seekers dumped in your locality in large numbers doesn't work.
Few of these AS are ending up in wealthy areas of Dublin and when tents are now popping up in wealthy areas of Dublin they are getting shifted quick.
