Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has denied claims he made about Labour's tax plans were dubious despite being criticised by the UK's statistics watchdog.

The Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) said anyone who heard Mr Sunak say Labour's plan would mean £2,000 of tax rises per working household would have no way of knowing that was a sum totalled over four years.

Earlier in the week, the top Treasury civil servant also objected to the Conservatives presenting their accusation as if it had been produced by impartial civil servants.

The prime minister made the claim several times during the first live TV debate with Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer on Tuesday.

Sir Keir hit back after the debate was broadcast on ITV, accusing the prime minister of "deliberately" lying about Labour's plans, adding that he would not bring in tax rises for working people.

Rents still rise @ twice the rate of inflation ,rate of new builds suffered the the wet winter.
Plus many local authorities dipping into the private rental sector for properties for illegal entry ,economic migrant, single African men and paying top dollar..................don't seem to be so worried about the white fellas though.
Maybe they don't get so many "virtue signalling" points for Brits.
My local authority proudly announced on BBC that it had bought 17 x 3 bed new houses just for migrants ,this was considered to be a good thing ,wif.

If its cheaper to buy than rent the system is bust.

If you can rent, but not buy, it's even more bust.

Dunno if this will fix it, but it needs to be fixed.

Can you imagine importing 1.2 million people a year (officially), and the cost of housing increasing.

I envisage a future where only the only people with gardens and children will be people on benefits and the migrants.
With a few working Brits rushing round like blue arsed flies to support them ,taxed to oblivion.
