I travelled about 10 years ago in a European heat wave (40c+ daily for about a month). That type of heat is suffocating. A westerner (UK & Ire) would struggle to last more than 10-15mins in direct sun (Even with water on board). I remember pouring bottles of water over my head at 10pm at night it was so hot.

Sad news indeed But if you’re going to go that’s not a bad way to do so Much much better to die walking on a country path under the cloudless sky than in hospital

It takes time for the human body to get used to these sort of temperatures if you are not used to them and it was apparently only the second day of their holiday.

What was his view on the vaccine dbtb? I see he rushed out a book on Covid 19 during May 2020 but I think that was too early to assess any vaccine against it.

There's probably not much of a mobile signal there. It was said he was close to home so perhaps he took a steep route down and missed his footing, easily done.

Why did he embark on such a trek in the first place.? He left the beach where he was with his wife and friends. Reportedly saying he felt unwell. I find the fact that they let a 67yr old man walk off in 40° heat, with no protection apart from an umbrella - (and no phone ) quite astonishing. What was he doing, where was he going ? Back to the villa where they were staying ?
There are a lot of questions !

One of which is the CCTV footage from the bar, showing him falling ( on Wednesday), wasn't looked until after his body was found. Pity it wasn't reviewed on a routinely daily basis !

It isn't that arduous a journey. He looks fit enough to have managed that okay. Anybody can trip and fall.
If you look at his clothes, he could have worn a thinner shirt than that if it was boiling hot. I'd have worn one that opened at the way down. And certainly not a sweaty baseball cap that doesn't cover the ears.
Which suggests it wasn't as hot as they're making out.
If you’ve ever been in really hot sun abroad, you’ll know what I mean.

Not arduous ? Those steep rocky hills in that temperature for a 67yr old would have quickly caused his body to dehydrate.
BBC newscaster states cause of death cannot immediately be ascertained due to extensive decay of the body. Not surprising being out in those temperatures for 4 days.

You could say that trying to look after himself led to his death. Although the many doctors I listen to, completely disagree with his ideas about diet.
For had he not felt pretty good in himself, he would not have attempted that kind of journey.

''The 67-year-old Mail columnist had been on the boat trip with his wife Dr Clare Bailey - but decided he wanted to walk back to their holiday apartment from St Nicholas rather than get the boat back.''
Why are you always wrong?

I think he died after 30mins crawling over rocky terrain for help , and his biggest regret was no method of communication . Not to mention failing to outlive his male relatives , inspite of making a fortune trying to do it .

Like Jack Torrance in The Shinning. Only he froze to death in the hedge maze didn't he?
With a smile on his face.
Still can't figure out what he'd got to smile about though.

Evil Leftie George Bailey comes out of it very well whilst good guy potter gets a few grand but no pottersville.
A truly heart warming tale, no wonder it disappeared for years.

J Edgar Hoover's Communist-hunting agents thought it was a Trojan horse sneaking anti-American propaganda to the masses. This argument was compiled in a memo written by an unnamed special agent in the FBI's Los Angeles field office about "communist infiltration" of the motion picture industry.
From 1942 to 1958, the Los Angeles field office investigated more than 200 movies, fearing they had been turned into weapons of communist propaganda, as John A Noakes wrote in "The Cold War and the Movies." The FBI generally looked into films connected to personalities associated with the Communist Party, which is what drew them to "It's a Wonderful Life."

The FBI claimed that two of its screenwriters, Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, "were very close to known Communists and on one occasion in the recent past . . . practically lived with known Communists and were observed" eating lunch every day with "known Communists."
So an agent watched the movie and wrote a report claiming it "represented a rather obvious attempt to discredit bankers."

I’m pretty sure that Jimmy Stewart was a conservative ( dr c is the best judge )
And never would have appeared in a communist propaganda film !
Nevertheless I watch it every year ( along with The Apartment , and Trains, planes and automobiles)
I’ve seen them so many times and am excited to watch them again
Jimmy Stewart was like a Greek or Roman god

The character he portrays, which makes the film clearly was not.
Mosley's diet may well have prolonged his life. We don't have sliding doors, so will never know.
Getting seriously dehydrated whilst feeling unwell, in super hot weather isn't recommended for anybody whatever their diet.

The post I complained about has been removed. Thank you Betfair, but he's repeated the offence.
So I've complained again. I wonder how many times he complained about me before I was banned?
