The Michaela School in Wembley was taken to court by a Muslim pupil who claimed its policy to ban prayer rituals was discriminatory as it breached her right to freedom of religion; being Muslim seemed non-British or toxic and evil; stripped me and other students of my Islamic identity.
Multiculturalism can only succeed when we understand that every group must make sacrifices for the sake of the whole. We allow our children freedoms of all sorts, as long as those freedoms do not threaten the happiness and success of the whole school community, according to its founder Ms Birbalsingh. She added: "Schools should not be forced by one child and her mother to change its approach simply because they have decided they do not like something at the school. If parents do not like what Michaela is, they do not need to send their children to us."
In an 83-page written judgement dismissing the student's case Mr Justice Linden said: "The claimant at the very least impliedly accepted, when she enrolled at the school, that she'd be subject to restrictions on her ability to manifest her religion."
The school introduced the ban due to concerns about a "cultural shift" towards "segregation between religious groups and intimidation within the group of Muslim pupils, the court was told.
What a waste of taxpayers money and time? Thank goodness common sense prevailed.

I'm still trying to work out how long she had to save her pocket money in order to hire a legal team to bring this case to court 
Personally a vast majority of mine was spent on David Bowie LP's and the remainder in the school tuck shop

It was only a victory for sanity because all pupils parents had to sign a set of conditions of admission, one of which was an agreement to a non-secular education environment.
They bought a beefburger and tried to sue because it contained beef.

I suggest that if you were Prime Minister you would not be allowed to do anything without the permission of your controllers

Raynard, nah, The PM has the ultimate voice in parliament, has the ability to point fingers, name names etc. If you think the PM's every move is controlled then your saying we are beyond 1984 already.

I'm suggesting that governments no longer act in the best interests of the people . If that is the case , and there is plenty of evidence to suggest that this is so , then to whom are they ultimately answerable to ?
There are plenty of events in the recent past and currently ongoing that a vast majority of the British people are uncomfortable with and yet the government do nothing to address the situation . Inquiries that should seek to reveal the truth about major events fail to look at statistical facts and are quite clearly attempts to cover up the corruption behind these events . How does this serve the people ? People that are , in many cases , denied the right to even discuss important matters publicly let alone ask questions of those supposedly in power .
Government policy is being dictated by unelected bodies such as the WHO and the WEF (see amendments to the WHO pandemic treaty which are being forced upon us by stealth for example) . It is bodies such as these that pull the Prime Ministers strings rather than the will of the people .
There is no longer an open , democratic process in the United Kingdom (or many other so-called Western democracies) . This is gradually becoming a totalitarian state

The Muslim student and her mother no doubt were "facilitated" by religious groups affiliated to Islam. Any other group would not be so crass (unless with an axe to grind) throw money on such a frivolous and selfish and misinformed decision to challenge the school with a distinct secular policy.
The founder was absolutely correct: If the mum was against the policy of the school being secular then why the heck did she send her child to that school? Utter moron, and attention seeker to the extreme.
I believe if the decision had gone against the school then every school in the country would think carefully and intelligently the consequence of admitting a Muslim pupil for fear of obstructing their religious practice and others too. Where would it end? It is a school - 1st and foremost - ie it is a place for educating the young minds; 2ndly it's a secular school - what does that mean? This is something the student's mum has tended to not fully grasp.

I now view schools as a place to indoctrinate young minds .
How can young minds be indoctrinated when their minds have already been indoctrinated to the point where the playground is used as a prayground ?
