What did Farage say?
(and did he say it in a german accent now he has moved there) |

Funny how bigoted turds always try to explain the defeat of the right at an election as being fraud and start going on about election fraud.
Fact is British people do not like extreme right wing bigots. Too many of us have families with a history of fighting Hitler and fascism to stomach their racist idiocy. |

Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn initiated legal action against GB News host Nigel Farage, claiming the former Brexit Party leader made a “highly defamatory statement” about him.
The statement in question was reportedly made during a segment on GB News last Wednesday as the host responded to comments made by current Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer. That day Starmer said that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s government was “dancing to the tune” of Farage, who often positions himself to the Conservative Party’s right. During the segment, however, Farage allegedly accused Corbyn of subscribing to the “madcap conspiracy theory that the Jews run the world.” On Monday Corbyn, who now sits as an independent MP, announced the move on X: “I have asked my lawyers to take the first steps in commencing legal proceedings against Nigel Farage, following a highly defamatory statement about me.” “We are a movement for peace — and we cannot stand by and let these disgusting and malicious lies go unchallenged,” he added. On news of Crobyn’s announcement to sue, Farage replied with a post of a Facebook screenshot that appears to show a comment made five years ago by a user named “Jeremy Corbyn.” |

Farage May have to pay a nice fat wad for defaming Corbyn then.
Good. |

And not just the UK, but (liberal) democracy as a whole.

Someone who supported the Soviet Union, famed for its unmatched oppression and rolling tanks over its "brothers" all too gladly, and considers its demise a catastrophe.

Gorgeous George has a number of skeletons in his closet.
I would not choose him as my life partners or even my MP. But the Rochdale result was a win for humanity given the slaughter in Gaza. And as you say the defeat for Reform (humiliation) and the Hooray Henry greed merchants was excellent. |
By:
But again, if someone despises the Conservative party to the degree that they turn a blind eye to stuff like that....cool.

I hope he stands a candidate against my MP Tahir Ali. This is a majority Muslim constituency so he would stand a decent chance of toppling him.
I agree edy, he is execrable in my opinion but much fun can be had at little cost. |

15% of the Rochdale electorate voted for Galloway and he wins a seat in the house.
It's like an episode of Blackadder. |
By:
Rochdale Borough Council have confirmed that 13,460 postal votes were cast in the Rochdale by-election, 43.2 percent of the votes cast and more than 12,335 received by winner George Galloway.
Is this not the correct figure? |
By:
Of course Reform and the hapless Tory got well gubbed.
And so they start to question the vote. Just like the sexual abuser Trump. It’s the extreme wingers’ hand book. Listen chaps, you lost by miles. Stop whining like little babies. |
By:
15% of the Rochdale electorate voted for Galloway and he wins a seat in the house
85% of the Rochdale electorate rejected all the others. 94% rejected the terrible Reform Party. And none of them got a seat in the house. Good. Quite right. |
By:
Edy correct anyone celebrating this win on the back of beating the Tories/Reform is happy to overlook the fact that
Galloway is a first class opportunistic grifter who seized the day on the back of a calamitous labour campaign, and who's credentials are questionable to say the least if this is where we are heaven help this country we are heading towards an even more devisive society in the future with the flames being stoked on either side of the political spectrum with joe public in the middle trying to get on with things on a day-to-day basis btw cryoftruth you still whining like a little baby about IndyRef/IndyRef you lost get over it... |

Some kwality whinging going in this true. Why would people complain about Galloway when Labour cannot put up a candidate and Reform put up a NONCE ……. In ROCHDALE
Then these same people complain Galloway takes advantage of that situation. The people of Rochdale cannot be bothered to vote The best the clowns can do is blame Hallowsy! |

Just as startling was David Tully, an independent whose occupation is listed as 'paint sprayer' on companies house and self confessed as to holding "no political views" has managed to poll more votes than Labour and Tories combined.
Anyone bar Labour or Tory then? If Galloway can get Mr Tully to form an alliance with him the 'big two' can kiss goodbye to the general election perhaps. Tully fought on local issues that have been badly neglected and George quickly hitched a ride on those issues to boot. The notion that you can harldy fit a ciggy paper between Lab and Cons is going to hit Starmer hard. |
By:
Its hardly a surprise if there was no labour candidate and if they wanted to vote
he was the best option compared to the rest . Voting will more and more be based on religion It’s always been there but England had tamed it over the last few centuries ,, it’s on its way back |
By:
I think it is important to vote as the residents of Rochdale have shown, particularly those who did not.
My point is that the Snouts in the Trough Brigade need to be kicked off the Gravy Train. I would urge everybody to express your displeasure with the current state of affairs even if you vote for a Nonce Reform Candidate. Use your vote! What is going to change gif the majority of us whichever of the Snouts in the Trough party’s get in! |
By:
Very few have any religion anymore lfc
Over 70% of Rochdale is non Muslim! |
By:
Even if people don’t go to church , or other place of worship they are born into a religion
And that’s how they vote , Of course in England it wasn’t so fractious or noticeable as in Scotland or N Ireland ,,, but it was there under the surface , and surprisingly they voted a certain way So the progress made is going into reverse |
By:
It only took about 400 years to achieve that progress ,
Nevermind .. |

These are the 2019 results from Rochdale's website.
https://democracy.rochdale.gov.uk/mgElectionAreaResults.aspx?XXR=0&ID=186&RPID=30711654 . Voting Summary Details Number Seats 1 Total votes 46461 Electorate 78909 Number of ballot papers rejected 162 Number of postal votes sent 13579 Number of postal votes returned 10573 So it looks like 13.5k registered for postal votes and only 10.5k actually voted by post in 2019. They do not give the detailed figures for 2024 |
