That was an aggressive response to a polite enquiry, how is a humble Greek waiter supposed to recognise a regional accent? No wonder the Greeks didn't like you.

My memory of Greek bakeries is us trying to usher any local old lady who entered to the front of us, and they
would firmly decline with a smile and a few kind words. I used to love it there.
