It does seem like the violence in London is spreading out sideways to envelop all walks of life.  But I don't live there, and I wouldn't want to, the way things are going.

We can't give in to fear, the police must be given the resources and rights to stop and search.  Let the cops do some profiling so that they know what they are up against.  If a certain group, or members of a particular religion are likely to resort to threats of violence, these are the ones we should keep an eye on.

A 42-year-old woman has died and two other people - including a teenager - have been wounded in a shooting in east London.

The Metropolitan Police said they were found with gunshot wounds after the attack, and a murder investigation had been launched.

A 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were taken to hospital, where their conditions are being assessed.
