They could blame the EU for the last few decades. Now they can't. If it did anything, Brexit exposed this.

Tbf housing is a bit of an issue but the allowing of vast numbers of Nigerians and Pakistanis is just a pragmatic approach to enable a functioning society and economy.

I know from my own experience that a lot of jobs are just made up, and aren't productive. I work for a SaaS business that has sustainability managers
The private sector will do what it does, but these non job jobs should not exist in the public sector.

Some rather basic stuff can be done. Requiring degree qualifications for entry into public sector jobs that don't need a degree, would be a simple start. Like teaching, funnily enough.
