The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is nearly always referred to as North Korea.
To me, irrespective of their constitution, when I hear the term Ireland I always think of the island of Ireland as a whole.
So when someone says Ireland for whatever I normally ask North or South.
Nothing wrong with that unless you are super sensitive.

They do have a bit of a cheek to call themselves Ireland

All the grammar schools play it

They would be even better if the catholics played it also - it’s mainly the Protestant schools
