The French presidential election look like a slam dunk for sitting president Emmanuel Macron who’s polling has been steady mainly in the 24%-25% range in most polls for the last 6 months. The main betting arena is in the “To finish in the final two”, after the first round of voting. There are four possible contender to join Macron in the final round, the Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Valérie Pécresse, Marine Le Pen and Éric Zemmour.
Marine Le Pen (National Rally – far-right) – is favourite to join Macron in the final two as she did in 2017. That time though, she had just the one contender from the right hand side of French politics in the shape of François Fillon of the LR (centre-right party), this time she has two right wing contenders, Valérie Pécresse (LR) and Éric Zemmour (Populist). It’s mainly Éric Zemmour who has really dented her polling numbers which were in the 20’s prior to his inclusion and currently sit around the 16%-17.5% range.
Valérie Pécresse LR (centre-right party) – Won the LR primary in December and received a boost which saw her polling reach a high of 18%, but mainly in the 16.5%-17.5% range. Has fallen back since and now polls in the 14.5%-16% range. Her rhetoric has moved towards the right in recent speeches in what is seen as a tactic to counter the populist candidate Zemmour.
Éric Zemmour (Populist) – A broadcaster turned politician (where have we seen that before), has recently been convicted of hate speech for the third time, but is appealing the conviction, and just like Trump has made immigration a main plank of his platform. His current polling is in the 13.5%-14.5% range and like Trump his best chance may be in getting previous non-voters who may identify with his views to the polls, and as such his polling numbers may well under count his support.

In 2017 he was on 11%-12% at this time, but support surged to 19% in the polls and with the right split three ways, if he is able to unite the left again has a sporting chance of reaching the final two.

You need to speak with or email somebody higher up.
In such a market, with few options, and numerical
options it's far better to leave them in numerical
order rather than jumble them up into price order.

was joking about sportsbook, obviously they gub you super quick, as do all the euro books generally. US books have it much better these days.

If someone has made a conscious decision to do it they are totally clueless. The market might just have been set up incorrectly and as a result the change was automatic

It's daft but it's far too trivial to contact the CEO. Twitter is prolly your best bet if you have an account. Greyhounds are in number order even though they've got names.

depends on the sport and your edge but the higher limits for most things can easily outweigh the odds if you can access them at least. the late action on them also can get you nice odds as euro books close odds for a lot of sports before the start.
There is also the major problem of trying to open an account with them. Most won't accept a UK based account.

yeah, a lot of euro countries can use some of them though, I got an oversees address I was using luckily. you can get around it if you really wanted too.
I know of one guy who was using here and a US based book to arb. Everyone was going fine until the day came when all his losses were on here and his winnings were with the US book. The US company emailed him to say that they had accepted his bets in error and were voiding them as he was based in the UK.
It's a very risky game. If you get caught, you could easily lose the lot.

I've never had any problems with them over the years. I mean it's gambling there's a large inherent risk regardless haha. If he didn't have a non UK address for his account then sounds like his own fault as they make it clear that they don't accept UK users.

yeah it's ok for reference but they limit you to small amounts on each market and they take a big % of your winnings iirc when you withdraw. for big markets like elections I don't put that much stock on them compared to alternatives that have no limits and much more liquidity.
Any US based companies that you can recommend that accept UK based accounts? You can message me if you prefer.

If anything, a lower turnout helps Le Pen but for it to be significant it has to be very low.

72% isn't much less than 2017, certainly not the "millions of abstentions" the the media have been portraying.

I'm not a subscriber to The Republican Party, I'm a centrist who would vote for Macron if I was French, but Melenchon would likely be worse than Le Pen imo

I would caution you against taking what LePen says and her "policies", and concluded she is not "far Right"
Not sure if you remember "Levelling up", "No tax increases" "There were no parties", "WMD", "Promise not to raise University Fees" etc etc. How did those pan out?
I can't think of an honest politician in power, past or present. (ok maybe 2-4 in 100 years )
It is prudent to look beyond what a politician says their policies and see what their history is, otherwise you'll be sucked in like cult.
LePen's history includes her party's history, and that has "Far Right" in the record books.

in much the same way bozo's appearance at one downing street event is now widely believed to be 9 minutes despite him having provided zero evidence in support of this figure. i noticed someone pointed out that 25 minutes was actually mentioned previously, no evidence of this either.

Sont, AFAIK the French votes are counted electronically not by hand like in the UK, so the actual vote is known almost immediately after voting closes. In any event, exit polls meant the result was not in doubt.
Seems as if Le Pen got most of her vote from the South coast and North east,areas of higher unemployment and immigration.The 'promises didn't work in the rest of the country and people do get taken in by these false promises that rarely materialise.
