hamburger £15

“Honestly, it was the worst burger ever.

“If you like burgers rare to medium rare don’t even bother going. Their policy is to serve their meat well done which results in burgers which are tasteless and hard as a brick,”

Michelin Star chef’s burgers as “tasteless” and “dry”and “inedible”

“I had the BAE burger and it was amazing. The meat was just great and the sauce so tasty,” one person said.

I was tempted to try this.
£15 for burger , chips & soft drink seemed OK . Obviously not if the burger is rubbish, at that price I would expect something special.

I wonder what BAE stands for. I don't think it's anything to do with space.

Could be fatal to eat rare burgers.

Certainly could, especially in a cafe or restaurant where their source is unclear.

Fresh made burgers are surely OK rare

If made from fresh meat, that may be eaten raw.
Report politicspunter October 22, 2021 9:11 PM BST
I do like them rare but am reluctant to have one cooked like that apart from at home. I guess that having confidence in your butcher, as we do, and the meat supplied, is an integral part of your enjoyment of any meal.

Cook a steak rare and you should be OK eating it as any bacteria will be on the outside and are soon killed by cooking.

A burger is minced so bacteria can be found throughout the burger. Insufficient cooking could mean  some bacteria inside the burger can still be alive.

Steak tartar is minced and not cooked at all.

Meat at that level can surely
me made into burgers and eaten rare.
Report saddo October 22, 2021 10:16 PM BST
Depends if the person making the patty has been to the bog. I was ill after eating my only pink burger at some fashionable dump in Leeds.
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- October 22, 2021 10:41 PM BST
Well yeah, but that can
happen with a well cooked
burger if its later infected,
or the trimmings are.

Leap of faith.

Streak tartar is not minced ,it's finely diced , fillet normally

Having experienced interminable queues to buy overpriced carp to eat in cramped conditions in central Land'n I would almost agree with you except there were no Londoners there.
