just nipped out and got 30 quids worth.  the Remainer queue was okay.  Felt sorry for the Brexiters though, their queue was massive.

Should get it back on the railways. Crozia took all the Royal Mail off the railways and at the time they said this would happen. There are only so many drivers (apparently they are mainly over 50) and they will get less.

It always was a lousy job truehoncho, but the congestion and road narrowing in recent years, along with cycle lanes, one-way systems, and hostility towards vehicles taken by towns and cities has made the job even worse.
I heard many haulage companies are now starting to refusing to deliver in certain areas because of restrictions, road charges and road narrowing.

Some drivers complain because of sneaky fines,that  at the end of the shift they're out of pocket.

the lads driving the day lorries are on min wage and performance related pay. I.e they get the drops done and they earn a bit more. Frowned upon as it encourages them to be on the limiter all the time.

I would hope an HGV driver is on more than £12 p.h. and Tanker Drivers considerably more.

There are well paid driver jobs but they are the few. Those lads you see driving the big fancy rigs are in a big minority. Its the ones dragging tippers and short day ones that are the bulk of drivers and they earn much less.
