ONS say 1 in 45 in Scotland compared to 1 in 80 in England.

Is Boris smashing it or is Nicola f**king it up north of the border?

Lots of youngsters testing +ive
so areas of high youngster testing
have higher rates.

Some England schools seem to
have stopped testing.

Rates are all a bit higher than
ideal, and another few weeks
of decent weather would likely
be a help.

Good to see England rates seemingly
dropping

Also good to see that long covid
figures seem to be dropping as
a % of those infected.
Report mafeking September 17, 2021 3:19 PM BST
scotland, wales and northern ireland have far more regions with the highest case rates than the whole of england now. maybe down to the lack of natural immunity caused by much more hardline approach of devolved governments ?

Not at all. Scotland is now has the worst COVID rate in the UK, why is that?

BTW I note you aren't pointing out the YouGov poll that came out today showing the Tories once again ahead of Labour but as you're probably upset we'll cut you some slack.

Data gathered worldwide are increasingly suggesting that schools are not hot spots for coronavirus infections. Despite fears, COVID-19 infections did not surge when schools and day-care centres reopened after pandemic lockdowns eased. And when outbreaks do occur, they mostly result in only a small number of people becoming ill.

Infectious disease specialists say there are several factors that seem to protect children: immunity to seasonal coronaviruses, underdeveloped sinuses, and fewer chronic health conditions.

That the ONS say Scottish COVID cases are nearly double English cases should be a cause for alarm, more people are going to die.

That Nicola Sturgeon has had to call in the army to help the ambulance service should be a cause for alarm.

But the fact that Nicola's supporters just deny these issues should be an even greater cause for even greater alarm. They aren't interested in people, they are only interested in the state and that is called fascism.

A better solution than that what the Cabinet Secretary for Health suggested.
Think twice before you call 999 for an ambulance.
