I suggest an Extra Tax  on those working from home as they are no longer contributing to the Economy , Train services Business that relies on footfall such as in the city of London being among many that will be affected .

The jabbed need to be exposed to Covid so a decent number of them will perish to it this winter - no point giving them a kill shot if they then lock them away from the disease it needs to link with

I think most people would want to pop in to the office now and again to stock up on pens, post-it notes, highlighters and to put their post in the internal mail.

Not seen any convincing reasons why people should have to commute to an office to stare at a screen when they can do that at home.

I agree with I agree with nick

A truly compelling reason. Especially
the last one, as Christmas approaches.

Just isn't going to happen. Everyone's had a glimpse behind the curtain and can clearly see there's no good reason to spend hours and hundreds of pounds sitting in traffic or on a train to do the exact same job they've been doing perfectly well at home.

The companies and bodies that fail to realise this will be the ones that collapse in the coming decade. The ones that grasp it and offer the best conditions will attract the best staff, and they'll thrive.

Poor tories though. They know it's true; but their paymaster landlords stand to lose out millions so they're forced to abase themselves on their behalf.

Some sad individuals here. When I was young I loved working in the West End, going out with work colleagues, drinking, gambling at the Casino's and chasing birds.

What is wrong with some of you?

I do see why people in good houses and are serious about their work might want to work from home and do it successfully but 8 hours working alone, 8 hours sleep. What do you have to talk about?

The commute of course is another matter and travelling 4 hours a day leaves you 4 hours to eat, drink, sheite and shave. Not a great life either!

I think single people should work Fridays and go out after work and Mondays to talk about what they have done. Older people should work Tuesday to Thursday to spend more time with family and spend the money they have on trips away.

Good for you wd.

I stopped all that long before covid
came along. Mach as I had enjoyed it.

If you don't need to impress
you don't need pay for an office.

Not like there's only one set
of books for the clerks, or
a limited supply of typewriters
to take down my dictation.

8 hours working alone, in reality about 4 is fecking dreamland. No small talk, no pretending to be nice, no tedious questions when trying to navigate to the exit door, no pretending to look happy when the business has laid on another cheesy treat or listening to a talk about international womans day! I realise I'm in a relatively fortunate position, but I don't really consider it work. It's not graft, not in the real sense. There are mild negatives but I will remain at home for as long as is possible.

Been there done that got the t shirt. You've got to remember that the bleeding hearts have ripped the fun out of the workplace anyway. Offices are sterile places these days. Everyone on egg shells not to say a word that can be taken out of context.

They spend 18 months putting the fear into people, they are still playing that game now

But get to the office, sit down don't say a word, don't offend anyway, oh... and wear a mask, get a jab, and get tested every day

Yeah thanks but no thanks would be my fooking reply
Report SontaranStratagem September 16, 2021 5:34 PM BST
If your not offending a bleeding hear your offending someone wearing a maks, if you not offending someone wearing a mask your offending a jabbed up

Its beyond mental its actually logical at this point, its been normalised to take offence at something

Is it just the 2 options of sitting in the house doing the job or sitting in the office doing the job , or is sit in the office and do the job or sit in the house on the dole, because if the office don't matter someone in Moldova can sit in their house and do it.
