I've seen some weird sh!t to try and have a go at Labour but this is a corker.
Report brentford September 10, 2021 9:33 PM BST
education standards probably dropped more under Thatcher...

GCSE English became a creative writing course on her watch to the extent that my often flawed gramma is due to the fact I wasn't taught any at secondary school...
coursework numpties that crumble under any real world pressure and can't actually recount the subject without textbooks at hand another example of the Thatcher era...

In those past 50 years , how many have Labour been in control of education?

Where is the lack of education, those who are clueless about European geography/ legal system or those who want to blame the Labour Party ?
Report LoyalHoncho September 10, 2021 9:53 PM BST
This is just one example.  The standard of "un"education shown on these Quiz shows today is simply staggering.

Report mecca September 10, 2021 10:19 PM BST

I didn't say it was a sign of intelligence, or non-intelligence, you always-proving-yourself-a-numbskull numbskull.  I said it was a sign of an inferior education.  Clearly you don;t appreciate or understand the difference and yet you come on here preaching to us!

It’s interesting that people in this country and Europe etc incline the turn their noses up at Americans
How many of them would answer that question - and yet
Look at what America has produced in the last 100 years -far surpassing any other country

per population UK and Ireland remain the dominant force in quality music Cool
Report lfc1971 September 10, 2021 10:53 PM BST
England is good , very good and obviously second only to America  But American music has more depth and its more honest and there is much more of it
A lot of English music is a bit more superficial - although of course at its best is right up there also

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee#Early_life

According to the Chinese zodiac, Lee was born in both the hour and the year of the Dragon, which according to tradition is a strong and fortuitous omen.[11]

Lee and his parents returned to Hong Kong when he was three months old.[12]

Bruce's father, Lee Hoi-chuen, was Han Chinese, and his mother, Grace Ho (何愛瑜), was of Eurasian ancestry.[13]

Lee's maternal grandfather was Chinese and his maternal grandmother was English.[14]

Lee's great uncle, Robert Hotung, was a successful businessman and philanthropist of Dutch and Chinese descent.[15]

Lee was named after British entertainer Bruce Forsyth.[16]

Children's education is a three way effort between the kids, the schools and the parents. Sadly some sections of society don't value education as much as they should.
