The Environment Agency has told water firms they can temporarily reduce the amount of chemicals used for the treatment of waste water.

The move comes in response to problems in the chemical supply chain caused by the [BREXIT] lorry driver shortage.

Water UK said there was no shortage of the chemicals, just a distribution issue.

Rivers affected....

what's causing driver shortages in Europe yhtl out of interest ?

and how many years warning did businesses need to take future proofing steps ?

Don't know why they can't issue 6 month
permits to qualified drivers.

Pretty much covered by increased wages
into being skilled workers.
