https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cuomo-sexually-harassed-women-retaliated-ny-attorney-general-report

Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and retaliated against a former employee who complained, in violation of state and federal law, New York Attorney General Letitia James concluded in a 165-page report released Tuesday.

The attorney general's probe, which included interviews with 179 people, found that Cuomo harassed current and former staff members from 2013 to 2020.

"This is a sad day for New York because independent investigators have concluded that Governor Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and, in doing so, broke the law," James said in a statement.

The investigation’s report is based on allegations from 11 different complainants, nine of whom have worked for Cuomo, either in the past or currently.

Former staff member Lindsey Boylan was the first to come forward with allegations, detailing encounters with the governor in a Medium post in February. Boylan alleged that Cuomo made multiple inappropriate comments to her including suggesting that they play strip poker, and that he once kissed her without consent.

Several other women accused Cuomo of making inappropriate sexual comments and engaging in unwanted touching, the most egregious being from an anonymous executive assistant who claims that he invited her to his residence and groped her breast under her blouse. The same woman told investigators that Cuomo had also repeatedly touched her butt, kissed her on the lips at least once, and asked her on multiple occasions whether she has or would cheat on her husband.

Other anonymous allegations came from a New York state trooper, two employees of state-affiliated entities. Charlotte Bennett, Ana Liss, Alyssa McGrath, and a woman who only went by Kaitlin are other current and former state employees who brought allegations against the governor. Non-employees Anna Ruch and Virginia Limmiatis claimed that he touched them without consent.

i first heard of him at the start of the pandemic where he certainly seemed to know how to talk. some time later it emerged he made nursing homes accept covid patients and then deaths in nursing homes were undercounted, when the truth emerged he didnt seem particularly contrite.

these accusations, from so many complainants, and the subsequent report have done for him. i hope his victims get justice.

Very impressive guy speaking during his daily media meetings concerning the Coronavirus.
There are suggestions he could end up challenging Trump in the Presidential election.

Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) has gotten wide praise for his handling of the crisis in New York. President Trump, on Monday, sought to take credit for Cuomo’s poll bump, while touting his own numbers in the process.

A new Siena College poll shows Cuomo’s favorability up to 71 percent from 44 percent last month. Various major surveys, meanwhile, put Trump’s favorability at roughly the 50 percent mark. Yet the president classified his own numbers as “great,” while categorizing Cuomo’s as “good.”

“He’s gotten good marks,” Trump said. “I’ve gotten great marks. I’ve gotten great marks also.”

my views are consistent with most people who define themselves more as leftist. just need to see how these battles play out in Labour and the Dems. It will be the Bernie supporting lefts (If Bernie-favourable voters do move to Trump, it won't be the very online, very left people that everyone complains about) fault if Biden loses and I imagine the same if Keir loses narrowly. The centre expects the left's vote but when it comes to the other way round, they just handwring.

I think they will but if corona hadn't happened Trump would have won. they don't do enough to distinguish themselves from the Republicans on non social issues related domestic policy and people would have likely put up with his behaviour if the economy remained strong.

Calling out Trump's bullshit is all well and good but when your party does little to improve things for many of these people and are bad themselves, why should people not vote for the other liar instead who seems to be promising good things and at least manages to hide his disdain for the working class at times

and Bernie and AOC and whoever can ramble as much as they want, they could've also voted against any such legislation as much as they want, it wouldn't make the slightest difference. Not even Bernie as president would have made the slightest difference to the communism for corporations and regarding universal healthcare. At least not during his potentially 8 years.

8 years of calling out the Reps and Dems might've raised awareness and support so that AOC in 2050 or so could've maybe done something about it.

Cuomo has received blowback for a now-reversed March 25 order on nursing homes, which reads: “No resident [of a nursing home] shall be denied re-admission or admission to the NH [nursing home] solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19. NHs are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.”

Over 4,800 people have died in New York nursing homes between March 1 and May 1, per New York state officials.

Cuomo faced criticism at a recent briefing for saying that providing masks and gowns to nursing homes is “not our job” because the homes are privately owned.

“It was such an insensitive thing to say,” said state Assemblyman Ron Kim, a Queens Democrat who noted that it wasn’t until just this past week that New York and neighboring states announced a plan to combine forces to buy protective gear and medical supplies for nursing homes.

“If we had focused on that early on,” he said, “we could have saved a lot of lives.”

Cuomo’s administration defended its response to the crisis, saying it has provided more than 10 million pieces of protective equipment to nursing homes and created a database of 95,000 workers who have helped out in hundreds of New York homes.

Also Cuomo wrote into lockdown law that NY could not be sued by care homes Scared
