If you get to 89 you can
expect a further 4 years.

Make it to 93 and expect another 3

sure but the people dying from covid aren't average 81 year olds

4/5 people in their 80s will survive covid

so the 1/5 who die are likely to be teh most vulnerable of the 80-90 year olds

the people who die from covid are likely to have an average of a lot less than 8 years to live

i think the four and a half million on the waiting list might have had their life expectancy lowered to give granny another few years
Report Mexico May 14, 2021 8:12 PM BST
Perhaps 19

You will be willing to actually pay more income tax so the waiting list could be reduced and save some lives?

Or don’t you fancy that?
Report nineteen points May 14, 2021 8:20 PM BST
because the govt chose this path why should anybody have to pay.there were other ways to go

I suppose it boils down to how much are we prepared to pay to save lives of people we don't know ?
Some would pay nothing, or suffer any sort of inconvenience, it would seem.
That's why we elect others to make those tough decisions for us.
Report nineteen points May 14, 2021 9:16 PM BST
its not a tough decision for me
Report Johnny The Guesser May 14, 2021 9:26 PM BST
How many additional old folks would you have been prepared to let die ?
Report nineteen points May 14, 2021 9:32 PM BST
