Indeed, I will send an email taking a leaf out of your book pre kick off tomorrow. Sometimes small actions can have dramatic outcomes if carried out by enough people feeling the same way.. as an earlier poster stated , issues like this transgress party "loyalty" and would quite happily switch to anything that opposed this nonsense.

You would have thought this policy implementation would come from a corbyn government rather than a tory one led by Johnson but events never cease to amaze
Report invicta April 5, 2021 1:28 AM BST
we are of the same mind wolf, tory voter all my life but am so disillusioned with this mob. Johnson preaches about being a defender of freedom and liberty and then tramples all over it. Yes, who would have thought Corbyn would be the one speaking out against it. Lets hope enough tory MP's have the b*lls to vote against and Starmer gets off the fence.

can't disagree with any of that. if they're are taking comfort in the current opinion polls or any of the polls about covid restrictions then they are gonna be sorely disappointed. pretty obvious most people saying the "right" thing then doing the complete opposite in the their own lives thinking rules are for other people who can't be trusted and if the furlough scheme is ever withdrawn which gets more difficult the longer people are entrenched in that false lifestyle the true catastrophe these policies have created will be laid bare

most people clearly don't have any comprehension of what a covid passport would entail. again it's for other "wrong" people without realising the effect it will have on themselves in reality

If people choose to pose a risk to public health then why should they expect to be treated like they pose no risk?  ---  you mean 'more of a risk' as you can still catch and transmit covid when vaccinated. The question is how much more of a risk and in my opinion no more than going about your everyday life and the risks that that involves. The elephant n the room is that the average age of covid deaths is 82 and the median (according to the radio this morning) is close to 85. This is more than the average lifespan. The whole thing is hysteria. Forget passports they could never get the whole population vaccinated ever, let alone every 6 months.

Now the twice a week testing to get the public used to it as this is what we'll have to do to regain our 'freedom' once the CCP app is in full swing.

It feels like they know the public are on to them but instead of folding or checking down the river, they've thought '**** it' and gone all in (thats the orders they've received anyway).

We can't let government tyrants and media fearmongers push us into accepting this terrible idea that we need their permission to go back to our lives.

I know for a fact, they want to keep this power. We should never have let them take it in the first place in the form of lockdowns, mandates and closings.

Now that we know those didn't work, and that they intend to keep pushing anti-science, anti-freedom ideas, we must resist.

One last time.

Vaccines are not 100% effective. Some of the millions of the elderly and vulnerable who are infected with the virus will still die even though they have vaccinated.

Having a vaccine reduces the viral load carried which reduces the chances of spreading the virus to others. A reduction of 67% has been mentioned.

So the less people who have a vaccine, or the more the elderly and vulnerable mix with the unvaccinated, the more of the elderly and vulnerable will die.

You guys might not like it - but those are the facts - three sentences that sum up the current position.

It does seem poor from government not to publish the data needed for each stage.
They claimed it was about data rather than dates before listing off a series of dates but zero data tests.

For many businesses an people the May opening would cover normal life, PM should explain why pubs, hotels, restaurants can’t be opened a bit earlier. Maybe some fudge such as single household on table inside but can have Boris’s rule of 6 outside.

The data seems to suggest UK is ahead of expectations, with schools shut for Easter might soon get cases under 15,000 a week? And deaths under 250 a week?
UK clearly isn’t getting same level of infections, the South West is a lot lower than North of England. If cases continue to drop in Devon and Cornwall they will be back to the low summer 2020 levels but pubs closed for indoor drinking.

Mexico, imo this is what you get with a bureaucratic operation like SAGE. They will never admit they were wrong and the modelling was awful. They will hide behind each other, noone takes responsibility.

I find it hard to believe there are even double digit daily admissions into hospital from infections in the community. Deaths in general are hugely down on what would normally be expected. There is no way there is any pressure on the NHS all.

Fair enough, don't remove all restrictions all at once, controls need to be in place on international travel for example. To prevent grandparents touching/hugging their grandchildren at this point is absurd.

There is no way there is any pressure on the NHS all  --  There was because of the resource intensive requirements of the covid protocol. If these had been implemented in a big flu season the whole NHS would have quite simply collapsed. There are now hundreds of thousands that are having to wait months longer for procedures that make a big difference to the quality (and probably length) of their lives.

In the sense of being 'overwhelmed' by covid emergencies whatever that means. No doubt there will be a tsunami of problems in general healthcare that have been held back once the irrational fear of covid subsides.

Boris Johnson hints he could sidestep MPs and force Covid passports into law without a vote amid warning that they are 'likely to become a feature of our lives' until the pandemic passes and could yet be required to go to the pub.

No vote in a supposed democracy is a supposed 'free country'

Almost as if this was planned quite a while ago and will be pushed through regardless.

I think the tune of some will soon change when they need to go to hospital for a new hip replacement etc and the waiting list is longer than the list of failed football bets from moneytree. The vast majority of people are inherently selfish as well as stupid, the ones clamouring for lockdowns are normally ones that hardly go out anyway with nothing to lose or with significant health issues terrified of covid. They will make out their views are for altruistic reasons but its primarily for their own good shuffling around in slippers barely going anywhere

I don't blame a lot of people as the propaganda was deliberately designed to instill exaggerated fear. My Mum is in her 70s, she won't take any notice of what I say. The fear that the government and bbc et al have inflicted on her over the last year will be with her forever. It's not a tap that can be turned off and on.

Yes Wolf, people will have a different view of whats happened when it starts to effect them or their family. My mate phoned me last night ans will be losing his licence at the end of the month as he couldn't get a procedure done on his eyes. He has no date for the procedure as yet. Just a little thing but multiply this millions of times and it starts having a significant effect. Another issue with the NHS that people ignore is that putting off an operation could mean a more complex procedure in the future. There are barely enough resources to meet demand now let alone the backlog and the excess demand because of the backlog. 'Protect the NHS???' I think you will have hurt it in the long run. Still, don't let common sense impinge on the benefits of mass hysteria.

People need to realise they ain't going anywhere ever again until they grow a spin, remember when it was #itsjustamask

Now its #bepatient when it comes to holidays etc, they ain't giving this up and they've got their ready made justification to stomping on any protesting/rioting... "domestic terrorist"

You the voters have given them all this so well done

Course it will

Well done to the fooking spunk bubbles that voted all these years

They've tip toed all the way to the finish line in chaining the lot up

It has nothing to do with the "voters" implying it is just the tories.. if you look at Labour, most of their policies are advocating even more stringent lockdowns. The majority of the lunatics on here like Edy, mexico, cry of despair are Labour voters not tory ones and the common sense brigade tend to be "right wingers" not left. The issue is because the human race has a percentage of imbeciles in it which would be the case whatever government are in power

Hence me saying "voting" in general

Its voting that gives the consent, whoever wins they win the board because they own both sides

As you say , a hung parliament where they are all disagreeing with each other to stop any legislation is probably better than this or maybe just appoint the downing street cat as pm- it couldnt do any worse

The latest saga in this circus is uk regulators are stopping the oxford jab for the under 30s.. not that many will be concerned here which is affectionately known as " Gods waiting room" across the web but quite significant
