isnt there a lot of feminist BS in the queens gambit, like the suggestion elite female chess players were kept out of men's events?
There is a dollop of third wave feminist/ man hating stuff, as you would expect from a netflix production. Though a captivating performance from Anya Taylor-Joy makes it more than tolerable.

is suburra another gomorrah?
only in sense its italian, more to do with government corruption/gangs/church. Basically a slice of land comes up for grabs near Rome that would allow easy import of drugs. all the faces are interested.

Never be another gomorrah 19. Blimey, how good was that. Sky tried it recently with zerozerozero. Only 2 episodes in but this suburra looks a little more diverse with politics and the church already also involved.
Not Netflix but Braquo and Engrenages are as good as Gomorrah in terms of foreign series
I still think Lilyhammer was amazing, unique and hilarious at times
