From the rules

...,.This market will be void if the election does not take place in 2020. If more than one election takes place in 2020, then this market will apply to the first election that is held. Independent or any other party Senators caucusing with either the Democrats or Republicans will NOT count for the purposes of this market. If any doubt exists as to the outcome of the election, .....

Even If the 2 recent democrat wins in Georgia hold (very likely) , Can this market ever be settled as 50 votes?

It's been discussed in the past 24 hours and previously in the 2020 USA General Election thread, Escapee.

In my opinion, yes it could be settled as 50 Senate Seats (or more) but it is very unlikely.

It is possible that previously certified election results could be amended from Republican to Democrat prior to the certification, or other confirmation of Betfair's choosing, of the Georgia run-offs.

It is also possible that Independent or Republican senators could switch to the Democrats prior to the confirmation of the Georgia run-offs. The appropriate settlement under those circumstances are debatable.

Thanks.

I wondered why I'd been getting matched at prices as low as 38 for what I thought impossible.

Not impossible, but nonetheless a very good value lay at that price, imo.
