If Biden reaches the 270 needed, will B/f instantly settle the market or will they wait until and legalities/recounts are dealt with?

I have not read the rules but one thing people should bear in mind is that The Electors retain the right to vote for who they want! I got a feeling December 8th might be the earliest.

This market will be settled according to the candidate that has the most projected Electoral College votes won at the 2020 presidential election. Any subsequent events such as a ‘faithless elector’ will have no effect on the settlement of this market.

If Biden gets 270 and betfair settle, then Trump overturns it and remains president. With the biggest betting market ever £500million, it does need clarifying.

"subsequent events will have no effect"......Once somebody hits the 270 it should be settled really.

Whether it will is anyone's guess?

Think they will wait till all states have projected a winner and then make a decision. If Biden gets over 300 they will take the risk imo.

I guess when they wheel Biden into the care home, then we will be paid.

Doubt it will be before 2021, with a least 3/4 states being so close this will go to the courts and eventually the supreme court not impossible another election.

We are probably going to have to wait for Trump's legal challenges to fail.

After a bit more thought, bf will probably settle as soon as the projected results are in. That is in their rules and any post election shenanigans will be ignored as the rules state Any subsequent events such as a ‘faithless elector’ will have no effect on the settlement of this market.

They clear the book and avoid CS hassle, by simply referring any whiners to the rules.

I tv hink betfair must wait for legal challenges to be settled, but only
Until the president is decided by
the electors.

Not sure, but a legal challenge to a vote
leading to a change in electors, is not
a faithless elector event.

This market will be settled according to the candidate that has the most projected Electoral College votes won at the 2020 presidential election. Any subsequent events such as a ‘faithless elector’ will have no effect on the settlement of this market. In the event that no Presidential candidate receives a majority of the projected Electoral College votes, this market will be settled on the person chosen as President in accordance with the procedures set out by the Twelfth Amendment to the United States Constitution.

So it doesn’t e en have to to the Electoral College! As soon as Biden reaches 270 the market will be settled....good!

Yeah I think as long as the counts are completed and the are not stuck on 269/269 we will hav3 a winner and the market will b3 settled according t9 the rules.

They haven't settled Michigan yet. That perhaps suggests they won't be specially quick out of the blocks to press the pay button.

This is good. Let him raise loadsa money from his thick basket of deplorable’s. The GOP won’t be paying his legal bills. He has no chance in court and I would be happy for his supporters to pay from their own pockets.

They can also donate to his legal team who will very soon be trying to keep him out of jail!

Under what scenario can koala still win? Her market fired up again? Even if Biden dies he is still the winner of the ballot?
