Boris and Professors 'Gloom and Doom' to address the nation tomorrow.

Hopefully it will be to admit their mistakes and tell us we are free to do as we wish.

I think we've known this for a while but it wont be a full lockdown because you'll still be going to work

It'll be a full shutting down of the social activities

71 deaths from Covid recorded yesterday. That will bolster their reasons for any further measures.
Report Cider September 29, 2020 4:49 PM BST
That's the standard weekend sweep, more or less three days added together.

As expected, new positive cases are leveling off. New hospital admissions are actually falling.

Of course, vested interests will spin the numbers as we've become oh so used to by now.

71 "deaths for any reason within 28 days of a positive test" - so deaths from something else then.

Riots can't be far away if this farce continues or is tightened.
Report Cider September 29, 2020 4:51 PM BST
Date of death is a much better measure (England). Some of these may increase slightly still.

ONS

Of the deaths registered in Week 38, 139 mentioned “novel coronavirus (COVID-19)”, accounting for 1.5% of all deaths in England and Wales; this is an increase compared with Week 37 (40 deaths higher).

The numbers of deaths in hospitals and care homes were below the five-year average in Week 38 (365 and 68 fewer deaths respectively), while the number of deaths in private homes remained above the five-year average (711 more deaths).

The fear killing people not covid 19.
Report Fatslogger September 29, 2020 4:58 PM BST
I’m not by any means a Covid denyer but I don’t think it makes sense to change the measures in place now. I’d expect admissions and deaths to continue to rise for a couple more weeks based on the increase in the circulating virus but at a fairly gentle slope. Then we need to reassess. The current level of virus isn’t apparently causing anything like the heath crisis we had in March and April and it won’t unless cases rise much further still, which I doubt they will based on what’s already in place.
Report Cider September 29, 2020 5:09 PM BST
The novel virus exists but the world has lost its collective perspective in about as big a way as you could imagine. It's so inept from nearly every developed country it really does make you feel like something more sinister is afoot at times.

Its uncoordinated, disorganised mess of riots they want though, my cousin was down London at the weekend (yes he's an Icke supporter) and said it wont be long until buildings start going, its getting to that point now

I've told him not to join in, told him not to go down there and be a part of it but he's a disenfranchised young man who's got no job and no real "prospects, he seems excited about the "coming war", its what they want its why they've ruined the working classes, they are going to be led to the slaughter by blokes like Icke

Young men like this will be getting ready, they've been conditioned for this all their lives and the sad part is they've been had but I understand them deeply, what's the point of living in this mad house? might as well go down fighting and all that

Its like there's recruiting going on

Mortality rate = < 1% (Based on the assumption that died 'from' rather than 'with' - probably even fewer deaths 'from').
Hardly 'deadly' (compared with seasonal flu mortality rate) . Hardly a 'pandemic' (given the definition of pandemic) .

Analysis of the statistics issued by the state and driven by WHO point towards something far more sinister than just 'protecting the people' Mischief

Regarding the whole pub/club debate its a case of this.

Its a curfew they put in place, it got the desired effect with the "no social distancing" on leaving the frigging clubs/pubs etc at 10pm because well EVERYONE is being thrown out at the same time ffs... but oh no we must shut them permanently you can't be trusted.... Its so fooking stupid by this point, its like a psyop brought to you by the dummies for the mentally zombied.

Share your definition of pandemic that this doesn’t meet and your estimate for the mortality of seasonal ‘flu?

The whole "stay home save lives protect the NHS" message which was the main message, the original message was the one that should have been adhered to throughout summer

The government then eased it all but that original message was broken when people started going out and eating/drinking etc

Its a silly game of rules/broken rules

Ultimately it didn't matter what you did the end result was the same it was always coming down to this

Either a 2nd wave or a collapsed economy, the cheating bas*ards were never letting you win regardless, you just got to choose which leg was amputated

Fatslogger - Pandemics are diseases/plagues that have a mortality rate of more than a fraction of those who contract it eg. Black Death (killed 100+million) , Smallpox .
Mortality rate for seasonal flu is between 1-2% according to ONS .
Report Fatslogger September 29, 2020 7:49 PM BST
That’s not the accepted definition of pandemic.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandemic

It’s also not a mortality rate for seasonal ‘flu that I or google recognises. It’s usually estimated (it’s surprisingly difficult to be precise) at about a tenth of that. Can you provide supporting evidence?
