The Scottish government has admitted acting unlawfully while investigating sexual harassment claims against Alex Salmond.

Allegations against the former first minister, which he denies, were made to the Scottish government a year ago.

The government has now admitted it breached its own guidelines by appointing an investigating officer who had "prior involvement" in the case.
As a result, it conceded defeat in its legal fight with Mr Salmond.

Mr Salmond's case focused entirely on the fairness of the government's procedures and will have no bearing on a separate police inquiry into the allegations, which is still ongoing.

Relations between him and wee Jimmy must be strained to say the least. I also found it strange that this was allowed to proceed whilst a criminal investigation was ongoing.

Hotting up with Salmond and his supporters having a pop at Sturgeon.
She had 3 secret meetings with Salmond along with 2 telephone conversations whilst he was suspended.
(Guess who revealed that) Struggling to save face in Holyrood with calls for her to be cited for breaking the ministerial code.
Tories split over Brexit and their lkeader, Labour split over Brexit and their leader and now the SNP have a split over leadership problems. SF also refusing to sit in Stormont. I think the Welsh assembly is okay though. Happy
What a time for politics, must be the worst collection of front bench MPs in history.

BTW the basis of Salmonds case was known from day one yet it wasn't until it was revealed that he would be asking for Sturgeons closest aide to give evidence that Holyrood threw in the towel.

All credit to Sturgeon for going ahead with an enquiry. If she had attempted to cover it up surely it would have been curtains for her.

By:

In the way that we're paying more in tax than the rest of the uk.

You get free university education for everyone.
You get free personal care for the elderly.
You get free bus passes for the elderly.
You get free prescriptions for everyone.

Am I also correct in saying you need to be earning over £29K to pay slightly more tax and if you earn less than that you pay less tax than the rest of the UK?

You Scots have no idea how incredibly fortunate you are.
