In a new year shock announcement Brown brought the world's economists to their knees and re-wrote the whole of economic-socio-political theory.

He said ' My wife bought me a book entitled " Economics for Dummies " for Xmas and I asked her to read it to me in bed [ after my usual hand-shandy of course ], so as she shouted from the other bedroom I got one of my interns to take notes. I was amazed to hear words such as ' recovery' and ' shared prosperity ' and I then had a flash of desperation - instead of just wasting money, inventing pointless regulations which I didn't keep and taxing everything I would attempt to make people BETTER OFF. I was sure this had never been attempted before !

I then heard Alan complaining to my wife [ whose name escapes me for the moment ] that he wanted to get some sleep so we all slept on it. I woke up a new man - that will give that crypto-yuppie-nasty- tory- socialist-toff Cameron to think about, I said , as I once again admired the framed autographed relics [ Edwina's thongs ] on the walls of my bedroom '

Not possibly true as there is no such thing as a Socialist Economist.

Saying you are a socialist economist is like saying Islam is the religion of peace.

Let's just invest more of other people's money. Isn't that socialist economics ?

NO socialist economics requires the state taking more of people's money and spending it on what the bureaucrats want.
