I didn't spot this last week. Labour MPs (save 12 'rebels') voted to allow ministers to be able to replace an inquest at any time with an enquiry without resort to the judiciary. This is a dictatorial system which allows the bogeyman and his friends to fiddle the results of inquests according to their own political** All other parties voted against it as did twelve Labour MPs with some concept of justice. Just for the record, the 'rebels' to whom credit goes are:

Colin Challen Morley & Rothwell
Andrew Dismore Hendon
David Drew Stroud
Frank Field Birkenhead
Kate Hoey Vauxhall
Kelvin Hopkins Luton North
Glenda Jackson Hampstead & Highgate
Lynne Jones Birmingham, Selly Oak
John McDonnell Hayes & Harlington
Austin Mitchell Great Grimsby
Gordon Prentice Pendle
Alan Simpson Nottingham South

A couple of the usual freedom and fairness concious people there (Glenda and Kate).

Disgraceful.
But if it involved a Law Change wasn't replacing the inquest into Dr Kelly's death with the Hutton Enquiry illegal?

Congrats to all on that Roll of Honour, although pandora may disagree.

I assume that it was granted by the judiciary.

Hoey and Field demonsrate once again that they do not belong in this putrid party.
They shine.
