Will be interesting to see this unfold!

Is 20/11/2009 the death of MMCC?

One can only hope!

Seems to be getting wider coverage.

Whhat surprises me is that people are surprised. Whether global warming exists or not, there is obviously a body of people who want it to be true because they will get very rich.

Memo to Professor Phil Jones..
"Trick" isn't a word which suggests something is "clever to do". It is a word which means "a cunning or deceitful action or device, to bring about the desired result, an act or procedure intended to achieve an end by deceptive or fraudulent means"

Man made climate change.... slowly but surely the liars and deceivers are being exposed. This type of scientist must the same sort who clambered to get work in the camps in order to do the sort of experimental work which they hoped would curry favour with the fuhrer.
Report evski November 23, 2009 12:43 PM GMT
Can't find a story about this on BBC website but they were just discussing it on Daily Politics. Odd.

Seems like it must be fraud to me. It is inconcievable that scientists could collude in a way as distasteful as this. The mail where they talk of a scientist dying as a good thing seems too unlikley.

Funny how donW, the person that says never trust what you read is suddenly swallowing this without a second thought. Maybe he isn't the free-thinker he'd like to be.

Report Chippie in Whitehall November 23, 2009 1:17 PM GMT
After much reading in the relevant literature, the following conclusions seem warranted to me. You should find evidence for all of them appearing on this blog from time to time:

Greenies are the sand in the gears of modern civilization -- and they intend to be.

The Greenie message is entirely emotional and devoid of all logic. They say that polar ice will melt and cause a big sea-level rise. Yet 91% of the world's glacial ice is in Antarctica, where the average temperature is around minus 40 degrees Celsius. The melting point of ice is zero degrees. So for the ice to melt on any scale the Antarctic temperature would need to rise by around 40 degrees, which NOBODY is predicting. The median Greenie prediction is about 4 degrees. So where is the huge sea level rise going to come from? Mars? And the North polar area is mostly sea ice and melting sea ice does not raise the sea level at all. Yet Warmists constantly hail any sign of Arctic melting. That the melting of floating ice does not raise the water level is known as Archimedes' principle. Archimedes demonstrated it around 2,500 years ago. That Warmists have not yet caught up with that must be just about the most inspissated ignorance imaginable. The whole Warmist scare defies the most basic physics. Sadly, what the Vulgate says in John 1:5 is still only very partially true: "Lux in tenebris lucet". There is still much darkness in the minds of men.

The repeated refusal of Warmist "scientists" to make their raw data available to critics is such a breach of scientific protocol that it amounts to a confession in itself. Note, for instance Phil Jones' Feb 21, 2005 response to Warwick Hughes' request for his raw climate data: "We have 25 years or so invested in the work. Why should I make the data available to you, when your aim is to try and find something wrong with it?" Looking for things that might be wrong with a given conclusion is of course central to science. But Warmism cannot survive such scrutiny.

Most Greenie causes are at best distractions from real environmental concerns (such as land degradation) and are more motivated by a hatred of people than by any care for the environment

Global warming has taken the place of Communism as an absurdity that "liberals" will defend to the death regardless of the evidence showing its folly. Evidence never has mattered to real Leftists

n1 chippy.

and i notice this in there..

The claim that oil is a fossil fuel is another great myth and folly of the age. They are now finding oil at around seven MILES beneath the sea bed -- which is incomparably further down than any known fossil. The abiotic oil theory is not as yet well enough developed to generate useful predictions but that is also true of fossil fuel theory

i believe i suggested this on this board earlier this year...

you're starting to sound like me lol
Report DonWarro November 23, 2009 2:09 PM GMT
incidentally, because of these leakks etc, they will need to be doubling their efforts to convince people. as such they may be creating a flood/tidal wave in february 2010. the 10th i think.

the main wave will hit the west coast of the usa, it will be massive with the fallout affecting coastlines around the world. not sure if they might be creating it some how using the moon, hence the recent rockets fired at it etc (ignore cover stories about finding water, we've known it was there since 1979). saying that, there may will be changes occuring upon earth that are nothing to do with us, but a response to changes within the sun as part of its cycles, together with our current position ont he galactic plane. this has caused the magnetosphere to weaken consdierably, so we now have the possiblility of some sort of pole shift or crustal slip which would cause some plates to sink and some ti rise, ie new land to appear and exisitng land, some of it, to disappear beneath the waves. they dont want you to know any of this is occurring - it will be used as justification for the green agenda etc, an effort to restrict our freedoms further and milk the masses even more than they have been doing.

you have been warned lol :)

the abiotic oil theory has been totally de-bunked and I'll lay you 10-1 you can't find a scientist from a respectable university that agrees with it.

are you just buying this apparent fraud, Don? Funny that you are much less sceptical about stories that support your particular beliefs.

Chippie, do you agree that you are beginning to sound like DonWarro?
Report DonWarro November 23, 2009 2:35 PM GMT
what is it you are alleging as fraud? i, like chippy it seems, am simply not surprised that such communications have been leaked, because the whole theory flies in the face of logic anyway. it's not that i am 100% accepting what has been released, it's just that it always seemed likely to me that something like this would occur. seems like it would be a lot of fraud anyway if that is the case, there being several thousand communications if this is true.

with regard to my other "beliefs" - they follow an understanding of the law, from researching it hisotry, wording, and the meaning of the words in law. these are factual things and not beliefs, and they have shaped my perception of the world differently.

with regard to the date and theory / conspiracy i mentioned in last post, i picked that up from the subliminla signals that i see on television. the date itself is the house number of one of the houses in south park lol :)

i expect abuse anyway so dont worry im not offended by your comments.

evski - perhaps also check out who funds your precious university lecturers. check out who owns the publishing houses that provide them with "educational texts" too.

here are some institutions that have produced studies they say proves teh theory

1. Geophysical Laboratory, Carnegie Institution of Washington, Washington, District of Columbia 20015, USA

2. Lomonosov Moscow State Academy of Fine Chemical Technology, 117571 Moscow, Russia

3. Royal Institute of Technology, SE-100 44 Stockholm, Sweden

this has only been happening in the last few months. refer to it as junk if you like, of course you will be serving the needs of big oil etc whom have the gov in their pocket, just as they were hoping you will.
Report DonWarro November 23, 2009 2:51 PM GMT
lets not forget this interesting snippet as per other thread, about what has been leaked..

And, perhaps most reprehensibly, a long series of communications discussing how best to squeeze dissenting scientists out of the peer review process. How, in other words, to create a scientific climate in which anyone who disagrees with AGW can be written off as a crank, whose views do not have a scrap of authority.

this finnish article is pretty interesting

MOT: Climate catastrophe cancelled
Finnish Broadcasting Co. YLE, TV1, Nov 11th 2009 at 8.00 pm.

"At least two research teams close to the IPCC added the sediment data collected by Finnish researchers as part of their own paleoclimatic model reconstructions. This was done with agreement, but the Finns were surprised to see that in a study published this September, their data and interpretation of its' meaning had been turned upside down."

It would appear that the monumental amount of wasted money (taxpayers money) on the MMCC
scam could have been averted if only they had applied the "Socratic Method"

To illustrate the use of the Socratic method; a series of questions are posed to help a person or group to determine their underlying beliefs and the extent of their knowledge. The Socratic method is a negative method of hypothesis elimination, in that better hypotheses are found by steadily identifying and eliminating those which lead to contradictions. It was designed to force one to examine one's own beliefs and the validity of such beliefs. In fact, Socrates once said, "I know you won't believe me, but the highest form of Human Excellence is to question oneself and others."
