Fantastic. If there isn't a clearer example of what a farce the EUSSR is, it's electing another fossil from Benelux who looks like a tortoise as a compromise.

I am an internationalist by inclination and hate xenephobia, or little England mentality.

Gus
your comment is very well made. It reminds me of the sort of horrid stuff the yanks used to spout obout boutros Boutros Ghali.

However the EU is a disgrace. The decision of who should be the cahir or president of the EU is just a complete carve up, behind closed doors of a few rich and powerful aresoles.

Its less democratic than a US state election and nearly as bad as an Afghan presidential vote.

Göring

You're not allowed to say EUSSR.

Apparently it's in very bad taste....

Although stealing democracy and guaranteeing a civil war in the future is just dandy....

el Presidente rumpy-pumpey is eminently qualitfied for the job. Like our own Dear Leader he has never won an election.

It follows that 'Baroness' Ashton, aka Mrs Peter Kellner of YouGov fame, has also never been democratically elected to anything.

We are truly fortunate to have these unelected supremos to save us from the perils of democracy.
