First it was Ben Elton announcing his move to Australia. Now Stephen Fry says he too could be part of a comedy exodus from Britain.
The 52-year-old said he is considering following in the footsteps of his literary hero P.G. Wodehouse by pledging his allegiance to the Stars and Stripes.
Fry, who recently filmed a new series of the BBC show QI, said he would be ' honoured' to take U.S. citizenship 'if they'll have me'.
The Cambridge graduate, who lives in North London, toured the U.S. in a black London taxi for his BBC series, Stephen Fry in America.
At an awards ceremony in Los Angeles, Fry said he was searching for a home in the city to be near his friend and former comedy partner Hugh Laurie and had been encouraged by talking to Craig Ferguson, the Scots comedian who has become an American chat show host.

Wasn't he done for credit card fraud? Glad Ben's going, though. Maybe he could take Richard Curtiss with him.

Boris Johnson is excellent here, going on to explain how Thatcher raised tax by cutting it.

The silly lefties will never understand of course

Thatcher raised tax by cutting it.

Lol

Obviously the silly right-wing nutters dont understand the effect of inflation, tax revenues when inflation is high are bound to go up anyway.
Lawson dropped interest rates around that period as well, which would boost the economy and also increase tax revenues.

Things arent always what they seem.

Oh dear , two liberal millionaires deciding to get out before 50% higher rate tax comes in.
Shock horror.
And he doesn't (Fry) just live in North London. He has a huge pile a mile or two down the road from me in Norfolk.
Bit rich of him really when he gets £1m + pa from the BBC ( ie you and me). I call that graceless.

Good riddance. Twittered on about twitter and encouraged mob rule against one journalist using twitter but sulks when he is criticised and runs away with his ball. Pathetic man and a hypocrite.

Nostradamus forcast the world to end in the year 2012
Brown saved the world in2009
would anyone want cameron in power
when he allready said he would have done nothing to save the world

The voters must decide who s best to save the world Brown who have allready saved it once
or cameron who would have done nothing to save it

The choice is clear
world lovers V World haters
