Murdoch recently switched his support to the Conservatives after heavily funding the Labour party for years.

Now Labour want to take the ashes away from Sky and bring it back to terrestrial TV.

Isn't democracy great.

its actually impossible for me to feel any sympathy for labour at all over the defection of Rupert Murdoch.

As Norman Tebbit said about Osborne regarding Yachtgate "If you sleep with dogs you will catch flees".

However the political influence of one very rich man is an affront to democracy. Not only does he control a load of soft porn,. so called newspapers, that pollute our country with their bile, filth and lies, but he pollutes our air waves with far right wing propaganda on Sky News, and even worse, Fox News, a channel that doesn't even pretend to broadcast truth "the Obama is a muslim" face of news media.

Its quite a dilemma, dealing with the evil Murdoch empire. On one hand I believe in a free media and i freedom of expression. However how "free" is it when so much news and current affairs is controlled by an Australian American who just wants to propagate an extreme right wing position and uses his immense wealth to further his sordid political ideas and the interests of the mega rich, at the expense of democracy and freedom?
