Theorecitical question about distribution of wealth/equality

Some would lose what they had on here and others would accumulate more wealth.

It would soon revert back as the hardworking earnt more and the lazy wasted theirs, whilst the clever would take money from the stupid. Give it a decade and its back to square 1.

Communism is without doubt the pinnacle for humanity to aim for, it can't be achieved for a long time yet because we do not have the technology or the inclination. Think of star trek; once there is no poverty and the technology so that people have no materiel wants the only purpose to will be self-betterment (that probably isn't a real word).

Dr J-Mrs T was the product of the institution that brought equality of opportunity to more working class kids than anything in our nations history-the grammer school- destroyed by the liars of course.

How can you boast about equality of opportunity when 85% of working class kids never got near a grammar school please?

I would have thought pure communism can never work because of human weakness/human nature.
where it has been tried , there has misery/poverty/oppression/corruption.

Dr J-15% were able enough to sieze the opportunity. Now 0% are able to do the same so good education is the preserve of the wealthy.

The cvurrent system is rubbish, I agree, but to describe 15% as 'equality of opportunity' is simply laughable.

Dr J-equality of opportunity is about able people having the chance to excel. It is not about the dross dragging down the able.

We do have equality of opportunity as good as it will ever get.

Anybody can become someone if they work hard enough.

Evski , you patronizing prig . You have no idea what knowledge I have or do not have . You do not know me . I made the mistake of taking your earlier comment as a smarty a.rse comment to my reply to the poster. The cut and paste saved me explaining my one word reply ( I believe the posters question simply described Marxs' original thoughts on the subject , hence my reply)

The same chance?

It's not really quite that. "Giving" people the chance implies a control society in the first place (and necessarily would involve 'taking' by force from others), it's more about not taking anything away from people so they can pass on what they like to their children (knowledge, principles, wealth, etc).
