Gordon Brown.. does this man have an ounce of common sense in his body.. I mean, how could anyone with any sort of self respect or common sense, send such a letter to anyone let alone this terrible situation.. with such poor writing skills. and to think this as been done by a man who leads our country... Whats to become of us all , with these morons that are leading us .

To be fair he did his best but he isnt very good at writing and spelling. It wasnt deliberate.

Storm in a teacup.

99% of people are with Brown over this IMO.

99% I dont think so, how could such a letter be sent to anyone, it just shows that the people in power are totally clueless.

Shame the massive intellect that Browns suppporters claims he has doesnt extend to being able to write and spell properly.

Its been common knowledge for years he's half blind and can hardly write. Get over it.

Dont think that is the point, the point is how could they have left themselves so open to all this abuse, where is their common sense and worldliness .

Tawdry gutter politics IMO.

its not gutter politics at all, its just another pointer to the man being totally clueless.

clapton - what should he have done? Got someone else to write it?
I can see how the mother initially may have felt offended if she thought it was a quick scribble - and perhaps she should have received some sort of covering letter explaining.

But I really think focussing on it is absurd.

Hes culpable in a lot of ways, but not over this IMO.

My Grandmother got a telegram when my grandad died at Ypres , along with another 250,000 families in one week from thier respective governments , not a handwritten letter , no matter how badly written or spelt .

The Tory rats are certainly getting plenty of mileage out of this one.

What is disturbing is the telephone call that Brown made, surely his advisers should have known that the hag and the Sun would have used that against him to draw it out even further?

Brown does not care about anyone bar himself.
He cannot lie straight in bed.
The sooner he goes the better for the country.
He rules labour with such terror that they are afraid to topple him.
Surrrounds himself with vile advisors that would stoop to advise him to play the dead baby card
Enough said

I am no Labour fan, but in this case, I am sticking up for Gordo.

The Sun really went low with this one, manipulating a bereaved mother for front page headlines, they are already the lowest of the low so they can't go any further.

Jog on Murdoch.

With Gordo on this one. How low do you have to go to hawk your sons memory to the sun. ffs

Maybe the Tory rats are getting mileage, but there is no need to call a mother who has lost her son a hag. Not even Labour Party members would condone such filth.
