I backed it at 10, 17, and 22. When it kept drifting it looked a non trier, but fortunately nobody told the kid riding it. For once I kept my bottle and didn't trade out in running, mainly because I'd had a decent chunk on it to be placed, and it never looked like finishing out of the first three.

Lol the last 5 Ive put up have won at Betfair SPS of 26/1 15/1 9/1 8/1 and 6/1. I put this up an hour and a half before the off Bruce !
While todays wasn't the biggest of those prices I was pretty pleased with it as its form figures read something like 10/12 10/10 10/10 and 8/10, so it had hardly beaten another horse in any of its runs, and had also been off the track for 3 months. I had a good look at the race last night when it was 12/1 on the exchange, and it looked like the sort of horse they might be going to have it off with. When there was a bit of money for it this morning my mind was made up, especially as the front three in the betting couldn't win in what was a truly dire event. Not sure the trainer will be too happy with it winning 4 and 1/4 lengths in a 7 furlong handicap, especially with it being such an uncompetitive race, but I suspect they had the money down away from the course today. |

I think I've managed to wangle some half decent merchandise out of them, as this tipping thing has proven quite popular.
Nearer the time it will be probably be fun to do a Cheltenham Tipping thing, but in the meantime does anyone fancy another one of these, or something similar like a footie scores predictor ? Basically something relatively easy to monitor and take part in for a bit of fun and banter. |
