Hi all
We only need confirmation for the TEAM EVENT in order to see how we can go about setting up the team event,
People please declare if you are A) definitely coming , B) very likely to come, or C) might come.
Venue - Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham
Team Event Start Time - 1pm (arrival) game will start at 2pm but we need you there in advance for several reasons.
Buy in to team event: £50
STT format
Main Event Start Time - 5.30pm
Buy in to team event: £112 (Subject to change as this is driven by Dusk Till Dawn)
STT format
There will be added value and prizes (Courtesy of Betfair) and the added value from Betfair will be added to the team event in the form of cash rewards, online tickets and or seats into the Main Event. In addition, we will have a last the longest payout for the Main Event which will be on offer only to players who took part in both the team & main events (that way it doesnt go to DTD regs, but remains within the Betfair circle).
Once we know who is going to be there, we will determine how teams will be determined. If we have 30 or so, I expect teams to be random, if we get 50+, we probably try having pre declared teams.
PLAYERS WILL HAVE TO BUY INTO A HOLDING TANK FOR THE TEAM EVENT SO THAT THERE IS A COMMITMENT TO TURN UP / PLAY. Holding tank will close a week before.

What could possibly be more important than this? I will only accept that you were attending your own funeral as an excuse anything else is unacceptable!
Inevitably a few will be affected with any chosen date so a vote would not really resolve the problem. Last year went to votes and that did not really work. I had to travel to Portsmouth over my wifes birthday weekend and was disappointed - loads voted (skwed the voting) and did not turn up.
Gone for neutral venue, central location and a guaranteed decent field size for main event to make any travelling worth while. The date was chosen by venue availability.

When will you know ideal team size, also whether random or pre-determined teams?
Ideally we need between 8 and 10 teams so that we have 8-10 handed stt's
We will know about two weeks before but if i know 40+ are deff coming, I think set teams will be more practical.

MTT format kindly note that there should be over 150+ players as dtd regs will take part as well. 10,000 chips and 30 min clock.
The team STT event will have 5000 chips and a 10 min clock which means it could last up to about 2-2.5hrs.

The response is quite positive so far - im confident about 40 of the familiar betfair types will be lurking about at DTD on 30 July!!! :D

I was a C and I changed it to a B - as I have now booked the train tickets you better make me an A. I might only be there for the Team event though as I need to be back home on the Sunday.
