The next instalment of Betfair Poker LIVE! will play out in Tallinn this weekend and Betfair Blogger ‘Helmuthian Folds’ has been given the arduous tasks of travelling East to  keep everyone up to date with chip counts, pictures and stories from on and off the tables.

There is a strong band of Betfair forumites travelling to play and we’ll be paying particular attention to their progress but you’re welcome to post on here and request updates on any friends or family you have competing.

The main event begins at 5pm (UK Time) on Friday and all of the action will be recorded here.

Good luck to everyone travelling over.
Love

Good luck to all involved, especially those that I met and shared a drink with in London.

Helmuthian, keep me updated on the progress of Kunoba and Klup, should just be a case of a rendezvous at the bar after an hour to hear their hard luck stories ;)

Update!?! I'm already 430 euros down on cash tables.

The fish feed off me.  Never stake me to play a cash game.

You must watch my interview - it is going to be brilliant!!!

This Betfair's version of kate Adie reporting live from Tallinn.

Arrived last night at around half past midnight and immediately found a very drunk klup at the bar with a large glass full to the brim with whiskey.... so no suprises there.

Red Mist who flew over with me and Bifta sat at a cash table with 50 euro's and turned it into nearly 600 euro's all withinn 4 hours of landing..... What a guy!!Silly
Then again it does help when a serial shoving German on the table who had already donated about 200 euro's to him shoves into him yet again after Mist has flopped quads.  Very delightful. LaughLaughLaugh

So far the players I recognise here are...

Klup
Bifta
Red Mist
Kunoba
Scandi UK
Big Rob
Alexsdad
Doobs

I will update these and any more UK players I can find.

If anyone wants updates on a player please shout up and it will be a pleasure to add them to my list.

I will be doing the usual chip counts, reports on big hands, photo's with abusive captions and will happily pass on messages to players as long as they are unlikely to get me thumped. [;)]

Main Event kicks off at 16.00 UK time and as soon as I have located the players seats I will try and get some photo's up and hopefully will be able to make people feel like they are involved even though they are hundreds of miles away.

Betfair Poker Live! Tallinn – 9 Players Qualify to Main Event

The first warm-up day of Betfair Poker Live! Tallinn 2011, hosted by the Estonian capital, saw two satellites to the main event. The festival under aegis of Betfair is held in Olympic casino April 14-17. BFPL Tallinn 2011 went under way at  3 PM local time with NLTH SnG €100+10. The only pass to the main event went to Yuri Olkov from Russia.

The highlight of the day was a NLTH €30+€5 super-satellite with re-buys. Forty seven players squared off for 8 tickets to the main event (the eighth slot is courtesy of Betfair). After six hours of hot contest eight lucky men booked their seats in the main event:

1. Tõnu Kõiv
2. Martin Kuura
3. Madis Tarum
4. Adam Jaguscik
5. Jörg Wilms
6. Hillar Vellavere
7. Reigo Maar
8. Grigoriy Murashov

The €550 main event kicks off April, 15 at 6:00 PM local time. The list of participants includes many strong players from Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Ukraine, Russia and UK. Stay tuned!

Well worth following as I believe Klup has something most amusing lined up for us and the cameraman and the reporter will surely not escape without interviewing the attention seeking Greek fish! [;)]

Slight interuption of service as my Laptop decided it should restart itself and there were what seemed like 3 billion windows updates.

Anyway Doobs won a nice little pot, reraised preflop and was called, bet out on a 782 flop and called again, the turn brings a 10 and his bet meets with no resistance and he takes the pot down! Silly

120 runners which was slightly less than expected leaving 7 players on each table.

Klup takes down a 2.5k pot when his A8 (greek nut hand) hits and 884 flop and he keeps the customer interested through the J on the turn and the 2 on the river.

Apologies but Big Rob is actually Big Mark but I think he will be more upset about his early exit than my misnaming of him.

His AA has been busted by QQ, all went in pre flop, Mark raises to 300 the villian re-raises to 2k Mark re-re-raises to a modest 4k (tells you his hand really) and the villian shoves, dead flop but the turn brings a Queen for heartbreak for Mark.

Long way to fly to get mugged like that. CrySadCry

Fergie28 finds QQ, UTG raises to 400, player after raises to 1200 and Fergie raises to 3k and the original raiser shoves so after a long moody dwell Fergie lays down his QQ but he is still a little perturbed after that little encounter.

Contrary to popular rumour Red Mist is actually under 100 years of age.

Other rumours of him constantly complaining and moaning are though in fact 100% true!

Fergie28 is reduced to rubble (2k) when his 8 10 on a A 2 10 6 10 board is butchered by AA.

Very harsh indeed!

And here is a photo of him looking most unhappy about 30 seconds after the hand. SadCrySad

Please enquire to Barker as to how he caught that nasty looking scab on his nose.

Looks like some special cream may be needed.
