Trying to get a few extra points for xbox so moved up to $5 and $10. I don't know why but whenever I do this I go on a dreadfull run with allins. At one stage today I lost 10 on the trot. Not hit anything all day, every bluff called, every decent hand I had loses on river. This game really sucks sometimes. Cashed twice in last 17 both of which were 3rd's.

Still, I did win an IPAD (which has already been nicked by the missus), and we have just stuffed the Aussies and it is my birthday so always look on the bright side of life.

Next two games.

Was running low on chips still not hitting any flops. 700 chips left and got 99 in the cut off and pushed. AA on the button called, lucked out and hit my 9. Squeeked into 3rd and pushed with j10 only to hit BB with KK.

Other game entered pot 15 times, hit the flop twice. but managed to hold my own until 5th place. Then went card dead, had a couple of ace rags, but raises were called or reraised allin. Ended up a shorty and pushed with q10 that hit a9.

Now 43 games since a 2nd place (think this is a record for me). Cashed 24.4% in last 45 won 3 2nd 1 3rd 7.

Ta for the advice Barry, noticed you've had a couple of good results in MTT's recently, nice one.

As far as going for the xbox during this run Oval/Barry its still worth it. Would have to carry on this run for another 30 to 40 or so games before I'd lose out. Usually I'd have stopped quite a few games ago and taken a rest for a few days.

Thanks for this thread Creidhne. Seeing this, I came across the prize mountain banner and thought I'd log in and take a look. Like another poster said, I too thought it was only betting and not poker points that counted. Anyway already have the top prize if I want it, the twin portable DVD, but might take the x-box. Think that would make a better present? Anyway, cheers, first bit of luck I've had this year. Happy

Meanwhile..... out of the burning embers a little golden bird pokes its head out and is flaming brightly.

Last 2 games both 2nd place, back to only -24% roi in last 47 games.

Miracle of miracles I hit two flushes and both actually win. Not hit trips or hit with suited connectors in a long time (the last time I was out bid with an ace flush). My grandad once said that you forget what your nuts are when you get old, now I know what he meant I really can't remember the last time I had them.

Allins in these 2 games.

KK vs JQ won QK2 A A (allin on the turn)
99 vs J8 won 5109 4 T (allin on the flop)
AK vs A8 won 3QK 9 10 (allin on flop)
AQ vs 63 lost 895 2 7 (allin push on the flop)
66 vs A10 lost 2310 7 9 (allin pre)
K8 vs AJ lost 4Q2 A 10 (allin pre)

What stakes/games do you normally play Creide? Think you replied to me on another thread about this, but I'm having a go at the sngs after a terrible run at mtts. Been playing the $3/$5 games. Have had a go at the 5 seater and 10 seaters but much prefer the 30 seaters. Want to get to $200 on sharkscope then have a go at the $10 ones. Think I started this around the 50 game mark and now after 227 games am on $78. Been up to $110, and down to about $10 (today I think.) I think I'm probably where I am when I started - lol.

McCoy

You can usually find me playing 10 seater regular sng's $3 to $50, although since the move to Ongame mostly been on $3 (had a bad first month on Ongame - lots of very strange games, lost trust in them for a while). Much prefer these to the donkfestivals (commonly known as turbos) as there's more post flop play. Not tried the 30 seaters (MTT's by another name).

I usually withdraw before the climax of the month (well I am a sort of catholic)so only end up in higher stakes when I've had a good month. I started out with a bankroll of £100 and only had to reload once (I usually take it back to about £100 each month).

I only play a couple of MTT's each week (the Wednesday community one and Klups Sunday game). I play these for the banter more than anything else. Planning on adding another Holdem game to my weekly games, but not sure which one yet (would prefer deep stack non turbo with an overlay for about $5 to $10 buy in). Also looking for a decent PLO MTT aswell.

I don't find that much difference in the standard to be quite honest between the $3 to the $10, there are a few more decent players each step up, but its not that marked. Probably get called slightly less as you move up but my roi between the levels (over the years)isn't that different. My worst results are at $5, and always has been. No idea why.

Belated happpy birthday. Keep at it. The game sucks sometimes.
I've been in MTTs and not STTs this year. Will move back to STT and odd 30 table one soon.

As for today. Had aces 6x and got loads in pre-flop as shoved back to twice, and others I have re-raised or shoved. Held up 1/6.

Went out of $22 $5k when UTG limped I woke up with Kings mid with 9 BB so pushed and got insta called. His rockets held up.

On STTs not much diff between $5 and $10. Definitely a change from $10 to $20.

I'd agree there Nick, definite better standard at $20.

Not played any more games since the last 2, calling it a night. I will check up Prizemountain in the morning to see where I stand. I suspect I might end up having to play turbo's to make the 4100 points, although I would rather not.

Played 27 games today, for an unhealthy $61.50 loss (not including cakeback) -21.1% roi. Only in the money 9 times ( 1 win 2 2nd's and 6 3rds) pretty bad day all around. Bad start to the year in sng's played 89 roi -16% (total loss $80). Only played 1 MTT (the IPAD freeby) and not had a cash game yet.

Before I start the day I always check to see how my lucks been going. These are the stats for the last 47 games.

123 allins won 57 lost 66 (these include HU and more in the hand)
Above 50% chance = 64
Below 50% chance = 57
50% chance = 2

Frequency of AA KK QQ AK = 2.3%

Total hands played = 2711
Seen showdown with one pair or better = 121 hands

Hand values (all 7 cards included)

Full house = 9 (won all)
Straight = 12 (won 9)
Two pair = 49 (won 29)
Trips = 16 (won 10)
Flush = 7 (won 5)
One pair = 80 (won 32)
High card = 28 (won 7)

Boy have I been card dead and its been a real bad run of not hitting. Made a few stupid plays and calls which adds to the mix.

First game out to flop push/bluff

Raised in ep with ak suited, fish next to me calls (he's played 90% of hands. I check flop he raises (raised all hands on flop) I reraise alin. Villain called with a3 and hit trips.

2nd game went head to head with a maniac who was raising 40% of hands and 100% when on button or in sb. Won a few hands off him when I hit and folded a lot when not. When at 5 players left he raised on button I reraised allin from sb with AQ, villain turns over J8 suited and hits the flush.

A fantastic start to the day

Tip for the rest of the day

1. Never try to bluff a bluffer
2. Maniacs are right daft and will call with dross. Reraising allin against them will result in tears.

Next two games.

First one cashed in 3rd

Finally some of my hands hold up.

Eased into 3rd place never in any danger after this early hand. villain 1 raises ep (serial raiser) player reraises (bit of a rock so has a hand) I reraise holding kk. Fish reraises and the rock goes allin for 750 chips. I reraise allin and the fish calls with AQ, the rock holds JJ. My kings hold.

In the last 3 all about even and I go card dead. One player has turned into a serial raiser (45% of hands pre flop). The hand that mattered, I was holding K6 flop came AA3, turn is a J making a possible flush. Villain has raised 100% on turn and I reraise allin Villain calls and shows a Jack. Why didn't I listen to my own advice Cry

2nd game

All players bar 1 are tight as hell, Highest entering the pot is 23% VPIP except for the loose fish. Make it down to last 5 in good shape and then it plays like a D2N. All players raising pre about a quarter of the time, its just a push or fold game. Make it to last 4 and eventually I'm the sap who's called. My A8 isn't good enough against AJ and I bubble when the blinds are at 600. Not much I could do about this one Cry

Was allin a total of 9 times in these games and was at least 60% fav to win each one, which amazingly I did. Only two I lost I was a 4% and 28% chance to win so can't complain there.

Cashed 1 in 4 so far (3rd place) so starting the day as I mean to carry on Cry
Report Ovalman. January 8, 2011 1:54 PM GMT
On the old site, it was possible to see a river without having to be all in. On this site your lucky if your chips see a flop. I think that's part of your problem here, there are many who gamble with any 2 making you having to flip rather than getting your chips in on the river where your hand is usually a lot stronger.

If you can, could you analyse your stats to see if you've seen a lot more flips in the past 6 months compared to the previous 6 months on the old site?
Report Creidhne January 8, 2011 2:17 PM GMT
I agree Oval, a lot more gamblers on Ongame. I'm pretty selective about going allin (as I'm sure you know). 123 allins in 47 games is not excessive by any means (and a lot of these were post flop allins).

I've modified my play since BF joined ongame, standard 2.5xBB raises pre and standard 1/2 pot C bets on flop (I won't say how often got to keep some secrets) if I have no notes on players.

Ongame sng's play more like the turbos did on old BF and the turbos like superturbos on old BF. I've not bothered to have a go at the superturbos on Ongame but my guess its even worse. I know Gnasher was having real problems in the first couple of months after the switch it would be interesting to see what he says about them now.

I did have a good look at my game after the first month of Ongame (spent quite a bit of time on poker stove), but didn't look at that aspect of the game (comparison of how often allin from flop to river). Might well have a look at that when I've got the spare time Oval.
Report Creidhne January 8, 2011 2:22 PM GMT
Maybe I should qualify what I mean by allins.

On holdem manager you get given the stats when the villains holecards are seen. Unlike old BF the txt file doesn't save the villains holecards unless one of the players chips are fully committed before the river is turned. This makes analysis of your play a lot more difficult and consequently quite a lot of the stats are only partial.
Report Creidhne January 8, 2011 3:19 PM GMT

Last 3 games all have had decent players from 5 and down. I would guess that all use poker tracking software as all have very similar stats. Unfortunately I've ended up the one being called with the better hand each time CryCryCry. Not much you can do about that. Seems to happen when you are on a bad run (its usually what causes them in my experience in SNG's). The good runs usually occur when other people are involved in the important hands when on the bubble.

Could it be that your calling all in's instead of pushing them? When you push an all in, you've 2 ways to win the hand but when you call you've only 1.
Report Creidhne January 8, 2011 3:53 PM GMT
Been called when pushing, BB has been at least 400 chips in last 3 Oval. The last two games and the two I'm in at the moment have all been full of severely tight players. The last two I'm playing this afternoon (off out for a meal after them) but with the type of players in the games there is little value.
Report Creidhne January 8, 2011 4:36 PM GMT
Lost these 2 as well. Last 5 games have been like D2N's. Last 2 still had at least 8 players in when BB was 200 chips. At that stage it's just luck as to who is called.

Pivotal hands when I went out.

Player raises I call with 1010. Player Cbets the flop K35 rainbow. He's CBet every time so I reraise allin, a call and I'm a dog -  well woof woof. He had AA.

Next game even tighter. One player is raising 24% all of the others are VPIP 10% or less and PFR 5% or less. I push allin when in bb with Q9 suited and get called by A2 by someone who has only played VPIP 10% and PFR 3% Its the worst hand I've pushed with all week. Ah the travails of a bad run.

Today played 8 cashed 1 in 3rd place.

total allins for 8 games 26.

won = 16
lost = 11

Still not hitting much and not had the nuts in a long long time, best I've had is second possible best hand by the river (King flush and kkkaa).

Last couple of days have had to rely on steals or bluffs to gain any chips whatsoever. Ah I remember the days when my poket pairs hit, and when my connectors connected, happy happy days. These days are not as good as they were when I woz younger.

Off out for a meal and to drown me sorrows. Might play a couple later tonight depends if I'm drunk or not.

Meanwhile back after food

played 3 games

Unlike this afternoon these three games full of loose players and only one or two tight players on table.

First game, first hand I'm in ep and get KK, I raise 5XBB and get 5 callers. An ace hits the flop so I'm out to virtually any bet with this amount of callers. Hand checks all the way around. Turn comes and no help to me and 2nd player to act goes allin. Gotta hate KK sometimes, always an ace magnet when on a bad run.Got to bubble and had A9 and heads up against the only one left who is betting the majority of flops. I must have lost my head on this one. Flop 10J3 on flop I check and villain makes min bet for some mad reason I call. An Ace hits the turn I bet and villain calls. River comes and villain bets I have to call now and villain shows AQ. First game of the day when post flop play occurs an' I fluff it big time LaughLaughLaugh

2nd game Get to 5 left and reraise allin to a serial raiser who has been raising 67% of hands from cut off position with 44. Villain calls with K10 and a K hits on the flop. Possibly a bit of tilt on this as previous hand lost a thousand chips with a bb push with 1010 that hit AA.

3rd game: Another loose game and only the second in a long time where I hit a few flops with top pair top kicker with little danger unless someone has hit trips (almost forgot what this felt like). Win most of marginal hands, even high cards. Horror of horrors I even hit an inside straight on the river (first time thats happened in a while) and get reraised, I have the nuts for the first time in last 51 games, but must admit that it was a bit scary when the guy called my allin ----- you just never know do you. For the first time in many games nobody calls my raises when 5 players left and I'm not involved when all the chips are in from 5th to 3rd place.

When down to the last 3 I have one serial raiser VPIP 65% PFR 43% and another guy whose stats are VPIP 53% PFR 5%. Do a couple of 3 bets against the serial raiser who folds. Third time I do it he calls when I have QQ I raise on flop and the guy calls so I slow down, good job really as he has KK but manage to keep half my chips. Both players are betting most flops and I'm not hitting much after this so a few bluffs needed to keep me in game. As these two players are doing a lot of betting on flop turn and river it saves me betting myself so when I do hit I can call call and reraise river. My god from fish to shark in the twinkling of an eye. 1st cash in last 8 games.

After the stunning win late doors last night the poker genius is back afresh. With the NUTS apparently making a comeback a new star is rising.

First game of the day:

Early game BB is 20 chips and I limp in with 45 suited with 4 others in the pot. Flop comes 2610 rainbow and a bet of 40 chips is made, all call. Joy of joys a 7 hits the turns and I'm holding the nuts. First player makes a min bet and the next player bets 350 chips. Can life get any better, looks like a bet to protect a decent hand. What can I do but reraise allin wiv a grin from ear to ear, can life get any better than this. It can get worse mind you, player calls and hits a full house on river - out in 10th place.

2nd game.

Its looking good when I hit 8 high flush on the flop and make a bet, get reraised and I go allin. Player shows a 9 high flush. out in both games in 2 hands - oops.

I find that my luck in SNG's at BF2 really goes in cycles. I will have a couple of stunning days then a couple of days where I just cannot win with anything.

Overall after 795 games I am $100 up, pretty pathetic really although at least I have clawed back the $200 I lost in the first 250 games at the new site.

If you want to see running bad over an extended period of time look at the PT3 graph of preflop allins from SNGs at another site (where I now only play freerolls). I defy anyone to explain this behaviour in terms of random walks and the statistical probability is only 5%.

Nice picture Wykh. I wouldn't call this bad luck, I'd call it pretty standard. You say that to get results like this is a 5% chance. That means that over approx 360,000 hands you should expect a run like this once if you separate into blocks of 18000 hands. In reality, as a run like this can occur at any time the chances of a run like this is increased. Its complicated statistical maths, and a lot of ''gamblers'' will bemoan that the poker gods are against them. In reality everybody will have runs like this if they play long enough.

The chance for this to play out the same again is 5%, you have a 1 in 20 chance for the same thing to happen again. This is where most (I'm not including you in this, you appear to be pretty sensible) players begin to bemoan their bad luck. Poker is a very long term game.

Diary of a madman day 3 all aboard the crazy train.

Played two more games.

First game is pretty standard, a few fish, a few grinders and a guy who I swear must be one of the recent influx of far eastern european players. He raises often from ep, but is good enough to fold by the look of things. His scope shows someone who has played 250 or so games with an roi of 27% so he looks pretty sensible. The ''Russian'' villain raises ep with a 200 chip bet (BB 50 chips) I'm in BB and it folds to me. I'm like Kasparov thinkin' here is a player who has raised 67% of hands from ep, pretty good chance that my AK is pretty good here. There's still 9 players in and he's not likely to gamble. I reraise allin only to find that Deep Blue has a bug. He calls with qk and hits the q.

Next Game.

Last several games I've actually begun to hit a few hands on the flop and this is one of those golden games when my marginal hands are good and I hit a couple of flops pretty big. Make it to the bubble with no danger and don't need to get involved during the bubble. The Mob don't rule in this one and Tacitus has glided into the last 3.

The generals are gathering in their masses.
What can I say I'm on a Blitzkrieg and hit trips on the flop twice in a few hands and down to HU as a marginal chipleader. This goes on for a while both of us winning our fair share until I hit 84 two pair and check raise on the turn. The guy calls with A8 and is committed to call on the river.

Wow I'm certainly going through changes, I'm up to 8.9% wins in the last 62 games.

It has a good chance at that Wykh2. Poker is almost certainly being abused by the criminal fraternity, much more than is being acknowledged by the betting industry. Just in the same way that there is a great deal of money laundering in the banking industry that is not reported, or more to the point not looked for (I used to work in the banking industry and have had some experience of fraud detection).

Basically the business's arn't bothered as long as the profits are coming in, it takes governmental regulation before anything is done. Business will argue and argue that there is no evidence that a particular type of fraud/money laundering goes on. Evidence is only gained by looking for it, if you don't look you don't see. Business will often use the following smokescreen, ''we have sophisticated defence mechanisms in place to recognise..... blah blah. This is BS and a meaningless statement meant to take in the gullible masses. It works, because nobody will accept being part of the gullible masses, its a psychological weakness humans have.

Boob a bit by going allin when I'm chip leader to reduce his stack only to get called by 33. A few more hands and its all over. Not much to say, enjoyable game because I cashed and it was easy, not so enjoyable because I got the cards and the hands and it was easy.

Running total

63 games ROI -22%, in the money 26.6%

Diary of a madman

Bit pokered out so just played 3 more tonight. Klups challenge (which I won't include cos its an MTT and I'm really only on about SNG's) and 2 more SNG's.

First one. EP raise with KK get a reraise allin. The player is a bit of a bingo player (or half a sleepdonker for the connoisseurs amongst you). He turns over JJ and hits a J on the flop. Finished in 9th or 10th position a total of 19.4% times in the last 67 games, quite possibly the worst set of figures I've had.

Second game Not much to say about this one. Not in much danger anytime and cashed in third. Went allin short stacked in 3rd with 22 and lost to AJ.

Total allins today in the 8 games played 22. 21 of which I had a 43% chance of winning or better and 14 over 60% chance of winning and a wopping 7 where I was 80% and over. Just one where I was a 20% underdog.

Won 13 lost 9 CryCry will this poor run never end ..... stay tuned.

Hopefully final day 2morrow will check in morning to see how many points I need.

On the plus side I haven't had to reload yet, still a good chance I will have to if the poor run continues.

Fist 2 games of the day.

1st game. The bingo boys are out. How often to call? how often to fold? how often to push allin? how often to raise? how often to call an allin reraise? how often to fold to reraise allin? A discussion for Ovalman. Choice is simple do you fold too often and end up blinding out? Do you push and get called by the fish who don't understand push/fold strategy? at what level do you become a fish? Should you call like a fish to build up a reputation for the future against serial allinsers? Difficult one and the internet is full of the maths and the consensus seems to be that you should fold !!!!! I called a reraise allin with A10 in this one, it was the right play, willing to discuss!!  Villain turned over 55 and this held up.

2nd game. 6 left Villain in ep calls (Tight player only ever seen ak, ak,qq and kj from him) all folds to me in BB I check. I have 79 os. Flop 579 rainbow. I raise 200 chips (min raise BB 200 chips) villain calls. Turn is a king complete rainbow flop. I do a pot raise bet. River I min bet after a 2 turns over. Villain reraises me allin. In retrospect his hand is obvious (68 suited) that is the way to bet the nuts. I completely discounted this possibility, calling ep with 68 suited, against the grain for what I thought was this type of player. Strange set of cards, had to be the nuts or a bluff, whether to call or fold - hindsight says fold (I was beaten by quite a few hands but I reasoned that the chances of trips, or k9 wouldn't be an allin). Call me a fish, I always am when on a bad run, always get it wrong. I'm payin' for my education.

Having a couple of hours off. Too many bingo boys about. Why do so many of these have the same characteristics. EP raisers, as soon as BB hits 200 chips move up to push fold game. There never seemed to be that many around until recently, why do so many seem to be Russian players with a good roi? why can't we check anymore where they come from. How come when I'm in a game with a few of these am I the one who ends up getting called? Why do I avoid these types of games. Call me paranoid Oval, but its kept me in profit.

At what level does it get to when you're pushing/folding? I don't know much about stts but I thought this is how nearly all sites such as SNG whizz say you should be playing, but you seem to be going against this? If you have less than 10*BB should you not be doing this? I've only played the turbos, mainly 30 seat sngs and I'm pretty much doing this all the time middle to late on. Not sure I'm getting anywhere mind, but in general it has been fun. Happy
Report Creidhne January 10, 2011 4:53 PM GMT
It is the new climate McCoy. Personally I'd rather play poker than bingo, that why I avoid turbo games.

The new structure of the regular games (1500 rather than 2000 starting chips) is turning all SNG's on BF into bingo. Sure there is some skill in these games, but it is becoming more and more preflop. Many people like this style, especially the younger testosterone filled ''two pumps and a squirt'', ahhhhh, enjoyment attained, people. Others are more refined and prefer to make love for a little longer, playing to the river is far more rewarding and the climax more stimulating when you have out thought your oppsition. Bingo boys don't tend to stay long, they start they eat, shoot, and leave pretty quick. Not much fun long term in bingo.

There used to be more ''long term'' players on BF1, very few left now, they've left the site. Strangely, since the switch Betfair has lost loads of players, especially at the high end. Is this a coincidence?
Report Creidhne January 10, 2011 5:01 PM GMT
SNG wizard, Bingo boys, and all other rule followers.

When everyone thinks that playing a certain way is the best way, it ceases to be the best way. When all are playing to exactly the same rules its the rulebreaker who wins.

When all banks are run to exacting rules its the rulebreakers who profit.

When do your biggest profits come from, by doing what people expect you to do, or when you do something unexpected.

Do the top players play to SNG wizards rules? or do they think.
Report McCoy Carp January 10, 2011 5:14 PM GMT
But haven't you admiited to a certain extent that you play the same way? Don't you play very tight to begin with then open up late on? Are you not dictated by the way you play to Hold em manager poker tracker whatever? Do they dictate your thinking? What's the difference to that and them being dictated by what sng wiz says? At the end of the day, whatever way you play, whatever game you play, I suppose it's being in front long term that counts.

Yes McCoy.
I would say that there are several basic styles of playing the game. My route into the game has been tight, and then add the extra hands in. To me it is a bit like chess, my style is equivalent to a particular way to open the game in chess. Within this style there are a lot of variations of playing it. Do you play with low pairs? do you play with suited connectors? do you play with broadway cards? etc while still giving the appearence of only playing certain hands. Like any opening in chess this strategy has strengths and weaknesses (I'm still learning them).
This style can easily be exploited by other styles (and I am quite regularly).

As time goes on I will expand my style (I've added variations over the years)

As far as HEM and HUDS go McCoy I use them as indicators and then try to work out the chances etc (its a bit of extra info, but only as accurate as the number of hands you hold on the opposition). Secondly, I mainly use HEM when I am multitabling, but rely much more on my skill (or lack of it) when only on a single table or two. I wouldn't say HEM dictates my play, but it often influences me.

I play the game because I enjoy the thinking aspect of it McCoy (I do use allins its a part of the game), but when the only armoury you use is push fold the game loses its joy. Anyone can read and memorize a table. It becomes simplified and an inferior game in my view. If the game continues in that direction I will stop playing, no longer is it skill and player versus player but bingo.
Report McCoy Carp January 10, 2011 9:06 PM GMT
Thing is, if you're a better player than me, then I suppose push/shoving might increase my chances of beating you. It's a poker paradox.

It's been the final day in Big Creidhnes house. Time for eviction, you decide.

All been quiet because I went to playing 4 tables at once at $5, made the points but at what cost!!!!!

The days results:

6 6 4 4 2 8 5 8 5 5 3 4 4 3

A fantastic day I'm sure you will agree. This little run has turned my sharkscope graph into a very pretty picture. Avoided reloading by the skin of my teeth.

Final tally from when I started:

Games: 81
Cashed: 27.9%
1st: 6.2%
2nd: 6.2%
3rd: 13.6%
4th: 17.3%
5th: 14.8%
6th: 11.1%
7th: 4.9%
8th: 9.9%
9th: 7.4%
10th: 8.6%

Bit of a pain. Too many games to post analysis

But here is a very selective few

Allins when in 3rd = 2 lost both

Allins on bubble = 8 won 2.

Allins when 5 players = 7 won 4

You've just got to love this game sometimes.

Fish or a geezer down on his luck? You decide [;)]

Cheers Bingo.

I actually enjoy the format of SNG's more than cash. Cash to me is a bit monotonous, and I do like the aspect of there being a winner at the end of a game. I play cash tables as well (not that much recently) and win more often than not when I do, but the enjoyment isn't there as much for me. I agree that most SNG's end in a bit of an allin fest (and gradually getting more so as more and more people find the tables and charts on the old tinterweb), still if you search the tables out there are still a few to be found.

I enjoy MTT's as well but often can't commit for the hours needed to play the games. SNG's are perfect for me because they usually last an hour or so.  As far as the beer, mines a ****ss and if you want to smooch a bit make sure it's got a brolly in it.

Thanks, Creidhne.  Due to this thread I might get a £50 free bet that I did not know I had!

When you mentioned prizemountain I thought it was a competition on another site along the lines of leaderboard style, which as I only do at most two tables is usually no use to me.  However, I have learnt that it is actually a Betfair promotion that I had not heard of.  I usually check all the poker promotions but I cannot remember this one being there, perhaps because it was a betting promotion, not exclusively poker.  However, I went to the site today and I had accrued a £50 free bet!  Unfortunately it does say that you have to log onto the promotion and look at your points at least once during the promotion, so I  might not get the free bet  Sad  This condition is tucked away in the terms and conditions and if you just look at the first promotion page it makes no mention of it - so I will be contesting it if they do not give it to me.

But what a farce.  I log onto Betfair every day and bet and play poker on it, but did not know about this promotion.  I could easily have got the x box if I had known about it.  I do not want an x box, but I would love to have given it as a present to a worthy child.

As said in the other thread it seems an easy promotion with some good prizes, maybe they made a mistake and then did not promote it.

Also, they again stick an important fact in the terms and conditions instead of on the page of the promotion, they seem to make a habit of this.  I have never known other companies do this.  Terms and conditions are used for nit picking, not important conditions.
