Tell someone who cares you egotistical moron, you will always be a failure in life.

Whos money have you begged, stolen and borrowed to open these clubs?

fails to mention about the second one he has just managed to close down after being open for 2 month
or the two proposed venues in southampton that had 3 runners between them on opening night despite his "eyecatching" he had designed (although printing the time of the game starting may have been a help)
and not even a whisper about his new card room manager learning a new magic trick  IE making club money dissapear into his own pocket -  birds of a feather and all that

If I had suffered the embarrassment and humiliation of having my club go bust on the very day a forum game was being held there then the last place I would be frequenting would be that forum.

An ex-copper turned financial advisor sets alarm bells ringing. An ex-copper turned financial advisor who has to borrow money of an sng poker player and can't pay it back is beyond alarming.

How is this Duffs allowed to post his spam here?Betfair PR bloke-stop farting about trying to get into Annie's knickers and do some moderating.

He is just out to rip people off, this man deserves no custom. He let so many people down with the forum game and he is still coming on here trying to get them to spend their money at his club.

Vile creature go away! Only ever come on here when you want something.

some of the reporting made me chuckle a bit
that article first appeared in the portsmough news and then the journal
irony is - that amount of advertising to tell everyone there are plans to re open would have cost over £1500 so they have actually done us a favour

RESIDENTS have begged a council not to grant a licence to a late-night poker club.
People living in The Clockhouse, London Road, Waterlooville, say they were driven to despair by the antics of customers at the former Duffs poker club which went bust in August.

Residents in flats above the venue were kept awake until 4am by noise from the club, including loud music, talking and abuse from punters.

Now another firm, who had nothing to do with Duffs, wants to open it as The Phoenix Club, where people can play cards and snooker.

One woman who has written to Havant Borough Council pleading with the licensing board told how she was driven to despair by lack of sleep and ended up with depression.

The woman, who wants to remain anonymous, said: 'The whole time the business was running I had a lot of trouble with noise which began at 10pm and continued until 4am. Staff and customers would smoke outside my window even though a place was provided for them.

'It would make my flat full of smoke and the constant talking drove me to depression. I had trouble sleeping at night and would always be late for work. I would spend most of the day crying due to lack of sleep.'

The club backs on to Waterlooville police station and even officers had abuse hurled at them by drunken punters.

A young mother said her six-year-old daughter's school work was affected due to disrupted sleep.

Ability Housing Association has also objected on behalf of its five residents.

But those behind The Phoenix Club said it has agreed to strict licensing conditions including not selling alcohol after 1am, CCTV, an alarm for the back door to stop people using it to get outside to smoke, a 48-hour wait for membership and all members must have photo ID.

A spokesman said: 'Clearly it (Duffs) was not run properly. We have nothing to do with Duffs.

'The way it was run would have upset the neighbours. All the things that have been mentioned in the complaints have been addressed already by us. The police and the council are happy with everything otherwise they would be objecting to the licence and they're not.'

yes mate its common knowledge that i was asked to re open the place as general manager
this was done with a private individual backing the venture and nothing whatsoever to do with Tony (duffs) that is why he has got the hump and all the animosity
hearing is this morning at 9-30 and i will let everyone know how we go on

Best of luck Carl, I am sure if all goes well you will do a much better job without the ego maniac holding you back.
