I am still quite cheesed off that it is not possible to get a p/l account of one's poker transactions directly out of Betfair, either from the website or by a request to Customer Services.

If I log in to Sharskcope I can download an excel spreadsheet of it (for a fee), so they are providing the information happily to 3rd parties while not providing it to the Betfair account holder.

Ideally, tournament winnings should be included in the HH file (as they are with all other sites I play at).

Can you please let me know when this matter will be addressed?

What about relaunching the old site under the pokerchamps brand keeping it a separate and standalone entity to Betfair poker?

After all it survived and built up a userbase of its own with a minimal staff well before Betfair came on the scene. Surely it wouldn't cost you too much to run something similar?

I would like answers to all of the questions posed. I did say I'd give you some time but quite frankly I feel ripped off and am considering playing elsewhere.

1. Can we have some basic functions on counting our own play on each table? (standard on old site. Ok on most others)
2. Waiting lists on cash tables. Registering for more than one sit n go table at same level (as on old betfair and other sites).
3. Search features on players.
4. Choice of tables 6 player as well as 5, 9 as well as 10, on SnGoes.
5. Bigger starting stack in sit n goes and tournaments (say 2000).
6. Some turbos with 5 minute as opposed to 3 minute levels.
7. Where players are from?
8. Better chat facilities including tournaments/tables not registered in and also when you are that it is not switched off the moment you hit the rail. This is any easy one especially if you give others facilities to turn chat off if they don't want it.
9. Getting rid of the LEAVE message.
10. An explanation why I'm winning 50/50 of my coin flips but am also 50/50 on my 80/20s since the switch over.

Finally, as a customer (albeit only Poker) why I'm not given any preferential treatment in stockmarket flotation should I want to invest.

Grateful for any answers, any suggestions when any of us will be listened to, or where they are in the scale of developments. All seem basic functions to me.

Having taken a look at the Mtt's tonight, I've realised that a lot of the Mtt's have had the times for each level cut. Some of the 12 minute games such as the rehab are now 10 and a lot of the $54 and $108 mtt's that had 15 minute levels are now 12, the only exception being the 7.00pm.

One of the things that has kept me on BF2 is the range and structure of the Mtt's and this looks like a step in the wrong direction.

Are Betfair party to this decision and if so, why?
Report Dooberama November 4, 2010 11:21 PM GMT
If you think people like 10 minute levels why not start new 10 minute level tournamants and see how they go?

Why do you mess around with tournaments that are clearly working fine and covering guarantees?

Do you think the old betfair decent stakes MTT schedule would have disappeared to barely anything even if you hadn't done all that tinkering?

Have you not learned anything from when you did this on the old software?

Isn't the evidence compelling enough?

There are several upgrades planned for the Loyalty scheme over the next 6 months. This will give players more choice but also the main aim being to make the Players Club more personal for Betfair players.

I am sorry but I am still not happy with your assertion that playing fixed limit gives you more players points than no limit at the same stakes.  I have played a lot of fixed limit and no limit lately and not one session of fixed limit has produced more points than no limit.  On your site the no limit games produced at least twice the players points as fixed limit for the same stakes and other sites are the same.

If you look at rakeback calculators they all say that you get more rakeback from no limit than fixed limit at the same stakes.  An example is Rakebrain using Absolute Poker as its site with 30% rakeback using the conributed method which is similar to your site.

NO LIMIT    SH  0.50/1.00  50 HOURS   RAKEBACK  $125.85
FIXED LIMIT SH  0.50/1.00  50 HOURS   RAKEBACK  $32.55

In both of your replies to me you keep saying that as you see more flops with fixed limit therefore you get more players points.  But you can only raise a certain amount in fixed limit so the pots are smaller and as more flops are seen then they take more time so less games are played than no limit.  So the combination of more games played and bigger pots produces more rakeback/players points.

In case you have not seen the previous thread concerning this, I raised the point that on your New York promotion you unequivocally stated that playing fixed limit would give you more players points and urged customers to play fixed limit.

Why do you say that competitions like the Glasgow one is specifically for the Betfair forum and then give out expensive tickets to people who have just joined a few days ago (4), others with just one post (2), and posters with  less than ten posts ((3).  So out of fifteen tickets you have given NINE expensive tickets to people who have either just joined or have posted less than ten times!

I have no axe to grind as I do not want to play yet in a live tournament, but I feel sorry for the real stalwarts of the betfair poker forum who are overlooked in favour of johnny come latelies.  It is not as if this is not the first time this has happened.  You seem to make a habit of doing unfair promotions which annoy the very people you want to cultivate.

Hi Annie,

This advice was based on our aggregated stats that show more Player Points generated per hand played on Fixed Limit versus No Limit on our site. Given the comparatively large sample size, we feel this represents more than enough data to give this advice around our Big Apple Touchdown promotion. However, we cannot guarantee that this will be the case for all online poker sites. There will be many complex reasons behind this, some around to player behaviour on this game type/site and others down to game play dynamics, but unfortunately we will not be diverting analytics resource into looking into this any further than we have already.

I'm an easy going guy who tends not to moan much but this answer has made my blood boil!

Are you telling me I don't know the levels and structures of tournaments I play regularly? The first thing I look at at in a tournament is how it's structured.

The rehab has always been 12 minute levels until a week or so ago and the 11pm Canadian has been 15 minute levels. They are now 10 and 12 minutes respectively. Please check your facts before giving out flippant answers.

If Betfair are not aware of these changes then it says something about Ongames attitude to you as a skin.

I expect you to check this out and then post an apology for the poor and ill thought out reply.

As far as I can see it is a Betfair issue, not an Ongame one. Betfair must have all the information but can't seem to make it available on their website.

So far I am struggling to find a single improvement to the site since the switch-over, or any evidence that these Q & A sessions are anything other than a waste of time.

I don't get the P/L account issue to be honest, its pretty obvious why its not there and I really don't expect that to change.  Losing players don't want to know and 99% of winning players use tracking software/sharkscope anyway.  And then if you really want to know exact figures you email them and they send you back a detailed spreadsheet within 24 hours.  People seem to complain for no reason.

ie show folded cards - whats the point
better chat  - what does that even mean??  no railing is a blessing most of the time

I agree player locations is fairly important and must be easy to implement but most of the complaints seem a bit of a waste of time.

In reply to Willy Wonky:
Actually I tried to email them but they said they could not supply the data since the switchover.

On the website there is an option to isolate 'Poker Rooom'  when you look at your account. This feature just does not work (it only shows transactions pre Jul 27th). Is it really too much to ask that
this be fixed and have a 'download to spreadsheet' option?

You say to use Tracking Software - how exactly will this work when your winnings are not in the HH file? Your only option is to pay for a Sharskcope subscription. As I said before: Why is BF giving this info to Sharkscope but will not supply it to me?

honestly why do you guys bother?

you know there is no such thing as betfair poker dont you. that was got rid of a few months ago. you know that what you are playing is ongame, which betfair have limited control over. they have to fight for what they want with all the other users of ongame, some of which no doubt provide more players. im sure ongame are happy with their software anyway as new skins are still joining, so why are they going to bother to change anything?

there is absolutely no advantage to playing betfair poker over any of the other poker sites anymore. many of these already have the features you are suggesting here, so why continue on this has been site??

The "synchronized breaks for Tournaments" is my biggest issue  -- Maybe if Betfair make a branded piss bottle and give it out to all their MTT players - then maybe
we all won't have to sit there wetting ourselfs when playing final tables on big games ;)

So? Any news about what OnGame said about our feedback?[>o]
Report annie. November 18, 2010 6:47 PM GMT
It it almost four months since we told you about the problem with making notes on ongame.  We have had repeated assurances that you will take the matter up with ongame but so far the problem is exactly as it was on the first day of betfair 2.

I have started playing sngs again on here and it is extremely annoying when you start writing notes and it then stops you in the middle of it.  You then have to wait until it lets you continue and then you have to find your place again in the note.  This was one of the main reasons that I played on ipoker for so long, I did not want to be annoyed every single minute Sad

Yeah, impossible to add notes when multitabling tbh.

But Ongame prob told everyone to fhk off cus we get no feedback about the meeting.[:x]

Report Poolio November 19, 2010 10:47 AM GMT
Why are some changes going to take so long to implement? For instance with 'player locations' they're going to be implemented so OnGame must feel it'll be a good addition but why such a long wait? Why can't player locations be displayed as of now!? Surely it is only a minor update to the software that needs to be done to add this feature.
Report wykhamist2 November 19, 2010 11:04 AM GMT
What happened to the p/l? Rather than saying 'no current plans for this' you just dropped it off the list completely!

If you plan to just leave the website as it is and not fix the bug can you at least have the decency to say so?

What are the recommended system requirements for multi-tabling?

minimum requirements for 2,4,6,8,10 and 12 tables?
Report annie. November 19, 2010 1:22 PM GMT
Nothing about fixing the notes fault  Sad

I've told you before Annie - invest in a few 'post-it' note pad - quicker - I've got avatars on mine now Happy
Report GrandTilt November 19, 2010 2:21 PM GMT
This is for 6 multiple tables (you can however do 10 on these easily).
We haven't set a requirement for a 10+, a better machine than the recommended is needed for that...

Recommended System Requirements:

Processor    2 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
Memory    2 Gbyte
Graphics Card
OS    Windows XP, Vista or later.
Adobe Flash    Flash 10.1

the profit and loss issue, and also the ability for poker players to set sports betting loss limits are surely within the control of betfair ?

we could set loss limits that didnt affect poker losses before the switch, now we cant. that is surely something that can be rectified easily ? just put things backto the way they way were before the switch.
