tickets to Manchester United games

McCoy Carp

Why do you think the Man Utd tickets are a joke?
Report The Klup October 22, 2010 12:22 PM BST
You obviously dont read the news BetfairPokerPR [;)]Laugh

it could have been worse, you could have made it a Liverpool game!

Ten days ago, i was frantacially trying to find out how I could cancel bids on ebay. I made a bid on a mickey mouse outfit and was four minutes and 7 seconds away from owning Liverpool.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Klup.

Why do you think the Man Utd tickets are a joke?

Well, put it this way, "Is there a cash alternative?"
Report The Klup October 22, 2010 12:33 PM BST
Can i suggest a prize - player with most rebuys and add ons gets a prize of sorts!
Report McCoy Carp October 22, 2010 12:42 PM BST
Good idea -  winner gets 1 Man Utd ticket, runner up 2 tickets etc, etc. What a total fiasco. Betfair should look seriously at their support of Man Utd.
Report The Klup October 22, 2010 12:46 PM BST
They back Barcelona as well! UnReal, i was forced to watch a Barcelona game through gritted teeth!
Report The Klup October 22, 2010 12:50 PM BST
But - for what its worth Lord BetfairPokerPR - i will be playing in support of this worthy cause!

If I cash - you have my written permission to deduct the cashed amount out of my account and credit it to the charity.

If i win a seat or package prize, then I pledge 25% of any subsequent winning as well

I've been to a couple of Betfair bashes. Had an invite to play in a poker tournament in Leicester Square and won two tickets to see basketball at the O2 arena. In both cases especially the latter, the hospitality was unbelievable.

In addition to this I organise a charity race night in aid of our local hospice every year and the Betfair marketing department for the last 3 years have provided me with fleeces, caps etc for prizes - this year they were especially generous.

I might have a bit of a moan about the poker software, but I've never played anywhere else, it was a logical extension from my sports betting. They have some fantastic promotions on here - big apple coming up.

The Man United comments were tongue in cheek. Should think whoever wins them will have a great day/evening out.

It will be a pleasure to play in the charity tournament. Wish I could be as generous as the Klup, had a bad run of it lately, but, intend to be loose and hopefully buy in a few times and add to the pot.

Hope the forum supports the game and it is a success.

One suggestion to betfair

•    $30 (no rake) Texas Hold’em MTT.
•    Unlimited $15 rebuys for 90 mins and 1 add-on.
•    20% of all buy-ins and 50% of all rebuys are retained for charity.
•    Remaining prizepool is paid out as per normal Betfair MTT payout structure.
•    Added value prizes also paid out as specified below.

Try making it:
•    $20 (no rake) Texas Hold’em MTT.
•    Unlimited $10 rebuys for 60 mins (assuming this is 12 or 15 minute blinds) and 1 add-on.
•    50% of all buy-ins and 50% of all rebuys are retained for charity.
•    Remaining prizepool paid out as per normal Betfair MTT payout structure.
•    Added value prizes also paid out as specified.

Can't see how that improves it klup and surely it is too late anyway?

You should all give up now, if I play this I win.  I am the king of betfair charity poker tourneys, so much so that they don't invite me anymore!

20% of $30 = $6 contribution
50% of $20 = $10 contribution (therefore $4 more per player)

$30 buy in with a $20 rebuy, rules out more low stakes players.

My view is that lower stakes and less time for rebuys and softer levels will encourage more players to take part. I would rather see 100 players as opposed to just 60.

Whats the bet, whoever pencilled the game in, has requested it be set up with 5 or 8 minute levels as well?
Imagine a 90 minute rebuy with 5 minute levels! LOL - betfairPokerPR please be honest, what the blind levels were supposedly going to be?

No, you don't get invited anymore as the best VIP/Key Account manager doesn't work there now ;)

Keith - you are ten because your bounty will be won. Doobs on the otherhand could go on to win this. Laugh
Report DaVinci I October 24, 2010 6:29 PM BST
fwiw 100% agree with Klup on buy in etc. $20 would be much better along with $10 rebuys. I'll play regardless but think you would get a much larger field, hence more money for charity with a lower buy in.
Report chipfire227 October 29, 2010 10:48 AM BST
i will play if im around because  its for charity, but for future reference i suspect more people hate man united than like them . Laugh

i genuinely wouldnt go and watch them unless you paid me.
