October MTT thread

GL. Lack of a time bank is a serious issue in Mtt's and the software isn't great, but I love the tourney structures and the range  of buy ins and start times suit me down to the ground, much better than bf1.

I am just playing stars at the moment. Goin through a phase of coming 7th-20th and is pissing me off!

I cant handle stars. Love the software but playing for countless hours only to keep mini cashing is soul destroying. Says something about my game I guess. [smiley:crazy]

Yeash is doing my head in at the moment for that reason! I try not to play mtts with more thna 500-700 in them

min cash in $15k daily here. poker hates me at the moment.  Had a big virtual triple up chance for the chip lead in stars $100 at 6pm, QQ vs 99 vs AJ, ace flop -£2.5k for the month even including wonky staking

£1500 down myself.

7th in Stars $109 for 1.9k

22/40 in 30r here.  Would have 80k if won a couple of races just before bubble.  dear pokergods, please let me win a race or let one of my hands hold and get a final table.  There are only son many min cashes I can take.

Not a single hold em* final table in the best part of 2 months.  I must have played something like 225 hold em tournaments in that time.

I'm going through it myself at the moment, BUT, although it's a small comfort, It's nothing new and I've been through worse before, BUT you can't help but sow the seeds of doubt even after a few winning years. I still wonder whether I've just been lucky?
Worse run was a period of 3 losing months, then nearly got it all back in one night. Hang in there Doobs, you understand your bankroll management, you'll be ok. My bet is, you'll hit two or three big ones within a space of a week or two.

Another bad night

two and a half hours after I had my first playable hand in the 200K. 1600 chips left and blinds (100/200). All in 44 and out. The other tournaments were not much better.

In $200k, not sure when it was, but getting near the point where I've got to shove. I'm on bb, with 24. Everyone folds apart from sb who calls. I check. 24 on flop. I check, he checks. Turn card is ace. I shove, he calls and he's sitting there with a pair of aces! Turning into the worst month I've ever had.

Worst month I ever had was back in Dec 2008. Lost £1900 before cake etc followed by January, where I lossed another £1700. This month I'm nearly £2200 down. Going to give it another grand and if I lose that going to take a break. I'm beginning to wonder whether I'm any good at the game. :(

Just turned into a good month. Maybe I'm not bad at it after all.

Just hang in there when things are going bad. All those bad beats, losing races etc must have equaled out in that one game! Must have had at least crucial 5 all ins that I won particularly one right at the very end where I pushed with K8 suited got called by AK and hit K8 on the flop. There was only three of us after that & I had over 700k in chips & other two were on 200k. Blinds were 10k/20k & every half decent hand I had raised it up to 100k. It was a nice position as obviously they both had an eye on 2nd and couldn't commit unless very strong hand. It was the easiest part of the game. Poker is so much more enjoyable when you've got chips & can be a bully.

gl doobs. I'm playing the midnight 100$ one on bf. Was in a stars 109 6 max gbut busted early when some player kept rerasiign me so i hsoved a draw,. he called a high and i missed everything.

out. Decided to c/r all in aftre someone flatted me pre with a9 on 843 flop. Thye had 44 so obv called and I was not in particularly good shape.

busted in 11th AA Got beat by some 89o donk for 55k chips absolutely gutted

in 15k euro, the rehab, 3.5k and the forum tournie, anybody else out there having a bash, although following doobs and rockme's successes could be tough

14/43 above average in the 100r on st ars.  5th may be enough to break even for the month, but I probably need 4th

Managed yet another min cash on bf.  This time in the 30r, had a stack, got donked at least 3 times.
