This is because quite a few users browse the forum on betting exchange accounts that don't have poker activated, old poker accounts, their partners account etc etc therefore, your forum chat name isn't linked to an active poker account in all cases.

I don't see the problem with giving your alias to be honest?

Unless of course you are some high stakes player I guess who doesn't want to be associated with posting on a Forum.

Would it matter if people knew who you were?

At the end of the day if this is a Community Event surely everyone deserves the right to know who they are playing?

DaVinci, it is just because, if you read the forums often, you would know I get grief on here and I just do not want it at the tables as well.  If I give my alias it is not just for this one tourney but for all my poker playing. 

In the beginning when I played poker I admitted I was female, but then I got such crude comments that I have not done that again.

Should be a good laugh and the Bounties will have to dodge more bullets than normal

I am still unsure whether I will play as I normally play during the day when I am sober and bright.  In the evening I like a drink and I am usually tired as I get up early - both not good for playing poker.  However, the buy in is only $3 so I might play, at that price it does not matter if I crash out early.

annie. I do read the forums, probably more often than I should I don't post regularly though.

You do seem to bring some of the comments on yourself, if you don't mind me saying so the thread on chit chat being a prime example.

Does it matter if you are female? if you get abuse report it as I am sure most people would. Banter is something completely different though.

I do not love the attention I get being a female, particularly as most of it is abuse, like you.  All I have ever wanted from the forums was to be just accepted as a gambler and poker player, not as a token female.

The Betfair Poker community came out in force last night with 88 players taking to the virtual felt for the inaugural $250 Addded Betfair Community Tournament.   

Also in the mix were 4 community bounty players selected via a live online draw.

In 56th place, JoKeR373x was the first bounty player to be eliminated when, on a Jack high board, he found his KJ outkicked by the AJ of RedDolphin2, who went on to finish in 8th place. 

Shortly after that DaVinci I got it all in pre-flop with pocket kings and was called by the AQ suited of pAAtience10. An ace on the flop sent DaVinci I packing in 51st place.


Next to fall was FishinTrips in 42nd place after pypa PKR flopped a set of 8's with J8 in the hole.   


The top bounty player on the night was Denyy1 who finished in 5th place overall after Sjonion2721 spiked a 6 on the river to hit trips to crack Denyy1's pocket 9's. Sjonion2721 went on to finish in 2nd place behind eventual winner Jinzo. 

All bounty players and ticket winners have now been credited. 

Don't miss the next Betfair community tournament which takes place this Friday at 20:00 UK/21:00 CET where there will be $250 Added once again.
