This law prevents us from allowing customers to access www.betfair.com and associated sites in order to bet or use any of our products from France or any of its territories. Please note that this restriction also applies to customers that may have accounts registered in a different location but attempt to use their Betfair account whilst they are visiting France.
Hmmm thats not accurate at all. They will have to have their own betfair.fr site, its all explained here:http://www.laytheodds.com/online-poker/poker-regulation/market-focus-france-les-trompettes-de-lapocalyse/
Obviously an initiative likely to be taken up by more EU countries in an effort to try prevent money being sucked out the country by losing players.
Obviously the Greeks and Cypriots are missing a trick here but safe to say that Greek Governments are so inept that until the Cypriots do it or the Germans insist they do it- it just ain't going to happen.
Why would the Germans want to cut off a source of income though :)
Just the thought of how much the Greeks lose globally in online gambling everyday is a vary scary thought.
Add all the little gambling shops, keno, lotto, sports betting Etc and it's a very frightening thought.
This all coming from the Greek White African who lives in the UK
May the supreme force bless Greece!

May the supreme force put it's boot up the derrier of all the greek and cypriot players on here who constantly get my blood pressure up with their CONSTANT stupid play. I would line every one of them up against a wall and do the poker world a favour. Irritating tw@ts and this post has now made me feel a lot better.

If you make money from betfair poker there is a good chance most of it is originating from Greece and Cyprus. Therefore for all the frustrations, thank god they play here, bless em.

was talking on the back of a bad beat wykhamist. third hand and only minor changes to chip stacks (1500) with blinds 25/50 (9 seater)- second player raised to 400 - i pushed kk on the button and both blinds folded. he called with 96s and ..... well you can guess.

fully agree unfortunately common sense doesn't re-enter my brain until ive counted to several thousands. i know that i'll win far more often than not with kk but it still gets to me when it loses to such a bingo play. doesn't bother me in the least when it happens in other circumstances. thx for taking the time to comment klup but i'm going to repay you by taking you out tonight (the klup challenge and not a date) [;]).
