Lingfield Lino

23 Nov 10 11:31
A very hit and miss day at Ffos Las yesterday with lots of seconditus on the agenda. I know how Forpadytheplasterer feels now Laugh

With a cold snap on the way this week I’m hoping we don’t see too many cancelled fixtures. Last winter was terribly decimated and we can do without a repeat of that.

Today’s fancies are from Lingfield:

12.50 Ling- Maximix (e/w).

1.20 Ling- Laccordioniste (win) & Setters Princess (small e/w).

1.50 Ling- Pascha Bere (win).

2.20 Ling- Brackloon High (win).

2.50 Ling- Supreme Plan (win).

3.20 Ling- Sebastiano & Don’t Panic (e/w).

3.50 Ling- Teutonic Knight & Rebel Flag (e/w).

Ffos La La La La Las

22 Nov 10 13:16
I’m not going to blow my own trumpet but that was a pretty nice set of Northwest Masters tips which yielded a splendid return on the weekend. I even got lucky yesterday when I got home late and tipped Max Laurie in the last race bumper at Towcester in a monthly naps competition I play in:

21/11/2010 15:50, Towcester, Max Laurie – 396 pts (1st of 13 at 33/1).

I believe I shot up from about 68th place to 9th in the table :D

Today’s Welsh wizardry comes from Ffos Llas:

12.50 Ffos- First Fandango (win).

1.20 Ffos- Alpine Breeze (win).

1.55 Ffos- Kack Handed (win).

2.25 Ffos- Topless (win).

3.00 Ffos- Vivarini (e/w).

3.35 Ffos- Normandy Landings (e/w).

4.05 Ffos- Miss Hippy & Tea Shot (e/w).

Saturday was the Paul Nicholls roadshow as his charges went in all over the country. Then at Haydock, Imperial Commander had his seasonal reappearance and landed the Betfair Chase followed in by gallant runner-up Tidal Bay.

Three winners on this blog yesterday but once again a disappointing Saturday readership. If you want to give out pearls of wisdom definitely don’t do it on a Saturday!Laugh

Today’s tips are from the NW Masters Part II at Aintree:

12.05 Aint- Brother Bob & Vannin (e/w).

12.35 Aint- Private Be & Magic Sky (e/w).

1.10 Aint- Quartz De Thaix (e/w).

1.45 Aint- Maljimar & Irish Raptor (e/w).

2.20 Aint- Categorical (e/w).

2.55 Aint- Whereveryougoigo & Pliny (e/w).

3.30 Aint- Monnow Made (win).

Firstly can I thank you all for reaching the 38,000 hits milestone overnight (Mull It Over online blog). I know most of those probably arrive via web searches for Helen Flanagan, Chat Roulette and the phenomenon that is  Kimiko Date Krumm but I’d like to think there is the odd punter out there amongst you.

Over the last few days I’ve been suffering from bloggers depression if there is such a condition? Aside from the fancies on here, my own separate bets on various sports have been having a torrid time. As I write I’ve got a bet on Brisbane Roar to beat NQ Fury @ 1.5 odds . It’s top versus bottom in the Australian “A” League and at half time Roar are trailing 1-0. This is a perfect example of my woeful bad luck and bad judgement at the moment. Fingers crossed for the second half Plain

Usually I’m at the NW Masters double header this weekend but due to cash constraints I had to sell my tickets. My fiver on Snoopy Loopy @ 66/1 a few seasons back still brings a rye smile to my face when I think about the feature race Silly

12.40 Hay- Dunraven Storm (win).

1.15 Hay- Stagecoach Pearl (e/w).

1.50 Hay- Carlito Brigante (win).

2.20 Hay- Wogan & Etxalar (e/w).

2.50 Hay- According To Pete & Aurora’s Encore (e/w).

3.25 Hay- Nacarat (e/w).

3.55 Hay- Charminster (win).

Exeter Extras

19 Nov 10 11:43
Did you ever have one of those punting days when you thought “That’s enough-no more!”? Well that was my day yesterday. 100/1 winners (against my fancies) , football teams losing 4-3 after leading 3-1 and so on turned the day into a miserable Thursday. In fact, I’m personally considering a no-punt Thursday for myself because I’ve noticed (and my account stats prove it) that it’s a complete jinx of a day for some reason. How weird! Confused

Today’s non apocalyptic fancies are from Exeter which is described as HEAVY:

12.45 Ex- Pateese & Setters Princess (e/w).

1.15 Ex- Le Beau Bai (e/w).

1.50 Ex- Watamu Bay (win).

2.25 Ex- Diamond Brook (win).

3.00 Ex- Wheels Up (win).

3.35 Ex- Posh Emily (e/w).

Hex

17 Nov 10 11:10
Hex is a board game played on a hexagonal grid, theoretically of any size and several possible shapes, but traditionally as an 11×11 rhombus. Silly

Well Fakenham turned into a board game of chance yesterday as the results were just bizarre. Faltering favourites and outsiders were the order of the day and to top it off comedy Tommo was doing the commentary and he thought it was a hoot! Sad

Today’s five star hexagonals  come from Hexham:

1.10 Hex- Lackamon & Monsoon Music (e/w).

1.40 Hex- Glenwood Knight (win).

2.10 Hex- Delightfully & Manoubi (e/w).

2.40 Hex- Belon Gale (win).

3.10 Hex- Against The Wind & Innominate (e/w).

3.40 Hex- Manxman (e/w).

Fakenham Fancies

16 Nov 10 11:41
Fakenham gets the go ahead nod today after an inspection for frost so that’s good news all around. Yesterday reaped a couple of winners so hopefully I won’t buck that trend today and try and land that first race for the third day running. Silly

2.00 Fake- Gulf Punch (e/w).

2.30 Fake- Film Festival (win).

15 Nov 10 11:57

Unless you’re called Josh, have a relative called Josh or you’re an avid Twiston-Davies fan then I very much doubt whether you backed the all the way leader Little Josh @ 20/1 yesterday in the Paddy Power Gold Cup.

I hope none of you were daft enough to pay to watch the boxing last night between Audrey & Little Dave? SKY and the media whipped up this non event into a spectacle it was never going to be to grab your hard earned dosh. Audrey was just in it for the money and he never threw a punch. It’s reported a seven year old mugged him for his dinner money today Laugh

Onto more pressing matters and the fancies from Cheltenham today:

1.10 Chelt- Ghizao (e/w).

1.45 Chelt- Forpadydeplasterer (win).

2.20 Chelt- General Miller, Culcabock & Leslingtaylor (e/w).

2.55 Chelt- For Non Stop & Hoback Junction (e/w).

3.30 Chelt- Drumfire (e/w).

4.00 Chelt- Go On Arch & Theatrical Star (e/w).
