truely boring
Report Colldogg March 15, 2015 7:59 AM GMT
Awful awful race. I never bothered watching the race after Vettel overtook Massa in the pitstops and switched over to the cricket.
Report Zazu March 15, 2015 8:19 AM GMT
90mins of pottering around conserving fuel.

I know previous eras had boring races as well but Its lost all its magic Cry
Report mesmerised March 15, 2015 10:23 AM GMT
Wouldn't you think with all the intelligent minds there are in F1, be it the business brains behind the scenes and the technical minds that build the teams, that someone would come up with an idea to make it watchable from start to end, different year, same story, domination kills, the pack all need to be brought closer together and make it about racing, there are not four TV channels anymore, people switch over a lot more quickly.
Report mesmerised March 15, 2015 10:34 AM GMT
Obviously the teams at the top are not interested in the smaller teams catching them up, but those that run F1 should act quickly before sponsors drop out and then they'll know about it.
Report noitsnotme March 15, 2015 12:36 PM GMT
How can anyone take this seriously,do the powers that be not realize that this so called sport is falling apart, even sky with their fantastic marketing and hyping up of sports events are going to see viewers deserting in droves, it is a joke for anyone to call themselves world champion in a two horse contest when you could put any two other drivers on the grid into those cars and they would win the the title.
Report Zazu March 15, 2015 2:14 PM GMT
A casual observer wouldn't be able to tell the difference between an F1 car or a GP2 one.

Even in previous boring eras at least you were watching mind blowing cars being pushed to the limits by the best drivers.

Unless they crash or breakdown Mercedes will 1-2 every race. Horner already given up and calling for the FIA to get involved Laugh
Report minka March 15, 2015 2:32 PM GMT
Lewis Hamilton certainly looks the part for his new pop career with all that gold round his neck.........right poser
Report frippar March 29, 2015 8:29 AM BST

Report Zazu March 29, 2015 9:31 AM BST
The new website has grown on me.

I just use crash for F1 and the planetf1 forum. (dont post just read)

Woke up to see Vettel leading ShockedCool
Would happily watch Vettel win every race by a minute Crazy

Fan crossed the track in fp2 and got into the pitlane, wanted to drive a ferrari F1 car Grin
Report Virgin April 11, 2015 12:38 PM BST is very hard to like Crazy

I will try frippars suggestion thanks
Report Zazu April 12, 2015 10:33 AM BST
The only stuff I've watched this weekend is part of a qually rerun. Im now in the group that believes F1 is boring and anyone who watches is it weird Crazy

Malaysia was a freak result due to the weather. Today expected an easy Merc 1-2 then Ferrari 3-4, Williams 5-6 and reading the reports thats exactly what it was.
Report bix April 13, 2015 8:28 AM BST
At one time any GP would have had loads of posts on here both before and during the race. Now no-one bothers.
Report fkqmz April 13, 2015 6:21 PM BST
Laugh no it wouldn't - this forums always been dead as a door nail. the only time it had any regular posters was around 08/09 when the hammy love in was going on. needless to say by the end of 10 the 'fans' had all dispersed!
Report bb66 April 14, 2015 9:20 AM BST
Hopefully Nico will knock him off track next timeDevil
Report Zazu April 14, 2015 11:53 AM BST
I like the Bahrain race. Cars look good under lights and its a good circuit

Nico was fast here last year but I cant see him beating Hamilton to the title at all

This forum used to be bouncing back in the day. Wasnt just 08/09,  even back as far as 2006 a new thread on the soccer forum would only be on the front page for a few hours Crazy
Report fkqmz April 14, 2015 4:29 PM BST
sorry, i was referring purely to the 'Motorsport' section which was always lucky to fill its front page in any given 12 month period. Agreed the football forum used to be booming and a lot of fun to boot!
Report fkqmz April 14, 2015 4:30 PM BST
oh and Rosberg's just rubbish - always had been. Hamilton just made a pig's ear of getting the job done last year, not all his fault in fairness. This year, we're seeing a truer picture of their relative abilities.
Report Virgin April 15, 2015 12:04 PM BST

Early days but I think you might be right .....
Report fkqmz April 15, 2015 6:25 PM BST
I'm backing Rosberg for a full on nervous breakdown next week. What price for him to cry in the press conference??
Report Zazu April 16, 2015 12:55 PM BST
Rosberg was dreadful last year as well

lets hope the ferraris get faster, so Raikkonen can beat Hamilton and mercedes.:)

Alonso -

“I think the cars are different – slower, heavier… In China, the pace in the race was 1min 43 and in 2004 the pace was 1min 33, so it is 10secs difference. When you drive 10 seconds slower you don't have the same feelings.
Report TheBetterBettor May 5, 2015 6:41 PM BST
Maximum points for finishing 3rd, would make it more exciting imho.

Imagine the crazyness in the final lap.
Report Zazu May 6, 2015 11:01 AM BST
Insomniacs rejoicing, Barca and Monaco up next Cool
Report mobo May 9, 2015 1:13 PM BST
Why have a track like barca  where you cannot overtake?!?!?  what is the point?
Report Colldogg May 9, 2015 11:56 PM BST
Absolute snoozefest. Are we really supposed to get excited at the prospect that Nico might beat Lewis at a race or two? Because whatever happens Lewis is going to walk the championship. Absolute rubbish, thank god for Moto GP.
Report Zazu May 12, 2015 2:58 PM BST
This article by DC is spot on

And thats before mentioning only Mercedes and Ferrari are competitive. And one of them is nearly a second a lap more competitive in normal conditions!
Report Zazu May 20, 2015 7:16 PM BST
"The engineers did some calculations. The winner of Malaysia this year would have been lapped six times by the winner of Malaysia in 2006.

Report Zazu May 22, 2015 6:05 AM BST
Anyone done the survey?

Seems they know exactly what is wrong with The sport. Cars too slow and quiet; drivers corporate bores
