Webber was always blindingly quick in qualifying often pulling out performances in the Jaguar and Williams that seemed beyond the car. Last year this didn't seem in evidence so much - I thought because Vettel is just plain faster all round. With recent performances has he regained that one lap edge - if so (with teams usually just going for one stop) I'm wondering if it couldbe key to the championship.

the difference between the jag/wil days and now is that mark is now converting these qualifying perfomances into solid points instead of somehow letting it all get away from him. i think hes performing better this year than he ever has before and whether or not he can continue this standard will decide whether he gets a shot at WDC come the autumn.
