I'd presume the F-ducts aren't going to do too much there so it should be all about pole I reckon. Anyone seen anything that would suggest one of the 'other' teams cars does well in slow spped tracks or wlil it all be about Red Bull?

Difficult to see beyond them at the moment,
Hamilton was pretty quick there in practice last year despite a dog of a car (subsequently ruined his qualifying by walling it) and clearly enjoys the circuit so might have a live chance.

With the qualifying going ahead with the full number of cars  - there could be more chance of a surprise pole I suppose.

Monaco is less about aero so Red Bull might not be so dominant.

I fancy a Mercedes and Michael Schumacher to win at Monaco. His got a new car was on form last race and he knows the place so well and the Mercedes looks like it lacks straight line speed but makes up for it in traction out of corners which is vital at Monaco. I'm punting on a Schumacher win.

Monaco is all about downforce. More Red Bull beatings. Pile in.

Monaco's is less about downforce and more about mechanical grip then most tracks.

Doesn't mean Redbull aren't still the car to beat.

You're welcome.

Massa and Kubica look good value to me. around 23,24.
Hamilton will either pole it or crash it I reckon.
Rain is forecast for this afternoon (on the BBC).
I could see the big teams maybe going out a little late and getting caught out with traffic.

I only do long odds in F1 as I am expecting to win once out of every 100 bets.
So I am on Adrian Sutil, Vitaly Petrov and
Rubens Barrichello and hoping for weather/crashes and other random occurrences.

Why are Betfair letting theives lay Alonso in qualifying when its been said he's a non-runner?

check the rules carefully. if its an 'all in or not' market, then hes going to be a loser.

So did I but what is going on now is criminal - Betfair are still allowing punters to lay him when he's obviously a non-runner. In the past half hour mugs have lost over 3 grand - they obviously are not aware of the situation.

it's not the layers fault that people are backing even though they have very poor knowledge of what's going on

Does anyone know if people that bet on Alonso as qualifying winner lost their money?  I didn't bet on him, but just wanted to know how Betfair handled those bets where people did.
