As previously advised, laying him for a podium each race is sound advice. All the evidence has been there for a while now
Report brooklynsgold April 18, 2010 9:53 AM BST
always was imo any of the top 6 today would have 7 world championships with his drives
Report Stringer April 18, 2010 10:07 AM BST
rubbish lol

the lad is almost twice the age of some of the kids on the grid and has a crap car
Report Green Board April 18, 2010 10:09 AM BST
Saying he's rubbish is verging on the idiotic, having said that I'm not so sure he'll sit out the 3 year contract as it stands.
Report curious-cat April 18, 2010 10:15 AM BST
rubbish is a bit strong but he's not as good ( understandably) as he used to be

Rosberg is driving the same car ........... no ?

MS should never have come back.

90% of sporting comebacks end in failure.

This guy is very old (for a F1 driver) and was out of the sport for years - lots of changes in that time in this sport.

He is doing about as well as can be expected so far IMO.
Report steviegbcool April 25, 2010 8:58 AM BST
this year its too competive and he is too old. the cars are harder to overtake too so with the 4th best car he aint going to get anything.
Report thebandit April 25, 2010 5:29 PM BST
Should've done some DTM/Touring Car imvho if he wanted to race still (no disrespect to DTM/Touring Car)

A real let down
Report RAPS April 27, 2010 1:59 PM BST
If he was a boxer or a footballer or even a cricket player launching a comeback no-one would expect much from a former champion given the length of his absence + age.
Perhaps those underwhelmed by Shoe`s performance so far felt that F1 comebacks are easier than in other sports.
Maybe that aint so.

He was one of the greatest motor racers of all time, seeing off all-comers.

Remember that under the new F1 rules he's had limited practice time. It will take him another few races to get back up to pace, but when he does he will be challenging at the front (car permitting). Motor racing is as much as sport of the mind as it is one of the body.

Lay, lay, lay.

Probably gave Greville Starkey too much inside gap on Shirley Heights in the 1978 Epsom Derby , otherwise his record speaks for itself I think.
Report RAPS April 27, 2010 10:00 PM BST
nah he also gave a shocking exhibition on Dr. Grace @ Caulfield ca. 1989 parked 4 wide for the whole journey as I remember it, probably drunk the old mf
