Why can`t they make rules to make overtaking more easy. That Boost button of last year cales KERS was fun, make that a bit more effective and allow for cool battles with one car can save that have extra power on the straght. Also aerodynamics make it less bad air for a car driving behind. This just sucks. Basicall no overtaking now and with no refueling there wasnt even different fueling strategies and no overtaking with pit stops, if Vettel didn`t have Problem there would have been no overtakng with the first 10 positions or so. Makes for exiting race lol.
Good Job FIA.

tbh if you want to watch excitement, watch irl, watch touring cars. jees go to the kart track and have a go yourself. imo f1 should be the pinnacle of motorsport and the forefront of technology. passing is not supposed to be easy and breaking the procession is what discerns the champions from the also rans.

i could continue to copy and paste this post across most of todays threads i think.........

There is some give away value out there today. paddy power are giving 1.5 chandhok and 1.57 senna not to finish the race. if they take the double its an even money double on a certainty. i also feel there is very likely to be an incident at T1 today. lots of over excited new GP drivers in fat heavy cars that dont want to slow down is a recipe for disaster for me. a fun bet - sky bet offer 8.5 on 2, or 12.0 on 3 first lap retirements.

as far as the result, i dont fancy vettel will carry his pace through to the end but i cant split the ferraris. 4.0 the dfc looks the bet to me. gl everyone and enjoy the racing.

oh yeah so i do

Do you never give it a rest about your own self importance? You know that your comments about the race being exciting was the issue, not your undoubted tactical analysis and unrivaled betting ability. Your final point says it all really...."Enjoy the race", ......very few of us actually did. Infact calling it a "race" could be queried under the trade description act.

rupert the reason you should give my opinion some credit is that I know my stuff. to you im just a name on a screen but in real life, im a motorsport specialist in the trading office of a major bookmaker and you'll find that theres a lot of people who dont think i talk sh!te at all. ok so i get pent up during the races. sports a passionate thing, what can i say. but for you, some hours later to come back and say that what ive wrote there is sh!te really says a lot more about you than it does about me.

the plebs who come on here moaning about how boring f1 is really hits a nerve with me because how they can say that and then turn round and get orgasmic over football baffles me. you seem to get a lot of enjoyment out slating not just me, but anyone you can (yes, i lurk in chit chat!) so if it makes you feel good please feel free to carry on. im not arsed and tbh i think its quite sad that you have such a personal vendetta cause if you didnt, (see above) you might actually get some winners off me.

Are you telling the truth that you work for a bookmaker and help them sort the prices out?
Report fkqmz March 14, 2010 8:06 PM GMT
but its all dependant on what you call excitement isnt it. like i said there, if you want people overtaking every corner, watch moto gp. if you want crashes, watch touring cars. f1 is not meant to specifically be these things. its supposed to be the best in the world performing at the absolute top of their game and the fact is , that the standard is so high now that people dont make mistakes and bin the car every lap like they did 20 years ago. its like any other situation, yearning for yesteryear is pointless cause your never going to get it back so you might as well find the best in what there is. anyway im signing out on this one now, i think were just going to have to agree to disagree.

Dear me!
If you read back you will see that no one was querying whether you know your stuff or not, the vast majority of F1 fans found that "race" boring, however you seem to find their opinion irrelevant and consider yours the holy grail. You may work for a major bookmaker, I actually don't but still managed to win a small amount today.
Why do you feel that anyone who disagrees with you is a "pleb"?? You seem incapable of having an adult debate without resorting to insults. No personal vendetta whatsoever, just accept that your view point isn't the only one out there, and you no occasionally (despite being a motorsport specialist) you may just be wrong.

i do indeed work for a bookmaker :) i have to admit, although im kind of expected to be right on the money with the f1 for when its needed, its not actually needed very often and its not the main part of my job in any way at all. anyway........................................
